(Oops I did it again- I started another fanfic at 3am whilst working on another and inevitably spiralling into a never ending cycle of regret and cringe- anyways enjoy haha :) )

The first time I'd messaged him, it was really just out of boredom. A simple, yet unexplainable whim. I never expected him to reply, honestly.

Saturday, 1:52 a.m.

cconfusdllama: Hii :D love your username haha

cconfusdllamaIt reminds me of fergalicious?? lmaoo

But then he did. And to this day I'm by far happy for it.

Bootyyyshaker9000: Hi

Bootyyyshaker9000: Um thanks?? I like yours too?

Bootyyyshaker9000: What are you doing up at 2 a.m.?

cconfusdllamaTAWOG :D

cconfusdllamaWhat about you??

Bootyyyshaker9000: As in The Amazing World of Gumball?

Bootyyyshaker9000: My brothers watch that show

cconfusdllamaAnd you?

cconfusdllamaDo you watch it??

Bootyyyshaker9000: To be honest not really?

Bootyyyshaker9000: Never been that interested in it

cconfusdllama: You insult me good sir

cconfusdllama: And you didn't answer my question either >:0

cconfusdllama: What are you doing up at 2 am??

Bootyyyshaker9000: Well you wouldn't believe me if I said I was making a high tech piece of machinery beyond the grasp of modern science.

cconfusdllama: Welll,,

cconfusdllama: I'll give you the benefit of the doubt I guess.?

cconfusdllama: To each their own and whatnot

cconfusdllama: GASp you're like dOoFenshmiRtz

cconfusdllama: But anyway

cconfusdllama: Tell me more about this high tech-ery of which you speak :o

And that last sentence alone flipped one hell of a switch.

I swear I could practically see his joy as he explained to me each and every intricate part of his creation to me. Honestly, I didn't understand half of what he said, but I asked him questions every once in a while to show I was still really interested in spite of my lack of general knowledge.

It soon became a daily routine, the cycle of tentative 'how are you's and rants about schoolwork, projects and mundane tasks. Which, soon enough, turned to more personal rants that we'd never tell anyone else and odd discussions that lasted until at least 4 a.m.

Turns out his greatest fear was beachballs and ketchup. Well, I couldn't exactly judge; mine was beyblades and fidget spinners. We both absolutely despised animatronics. He liked watching Jupiter Jim, I already binged all the movies twice, some thrice. He liked jamming to Taylor Swift. I swooned to Ed Sheeran.

It was just so crazy, to trust someone you'd never even met to this extent. But I did. I trusted him more than I trusted myself. And I'd like to think he did too.

  More than anything.

Bootyyyshaker9000: Hey who is 'Doofenshmirtz' anyway?

Bootyyyshaker9000: You mentioned him back when we first talked??

cconfusdllama: Bitch

Bootyyyshaker9000: ? :'( ?
