Her beauty shines brighter than any star,

But she doesn't believe me when I say,

"You look beautiful today."

Her hair is the light and her eyes the ocean.

Such a beautiful body,

And such a grieving soul.

I want to hold her,

I want to tell her the world isn't such a terrible place.

At least, for me it isn't a terrible place,

When she is smiling her beautiful smile.

I want to tell her I love her.

When I open my mouth, I can only compliment her.

"I love... Your hair today."

Is all I can ever say.

She will never know how much I love her,

Because, God, I can only compliment her.

At least I lift her up.

Maybe one day she will wake up and really know how amazing she is.
