Chapter 2

~Devin's POV~

*Sigh* Another boring day in my boring life...

"Hey, Devin!" Someone in the distance yells out.

"Crap..." Devin turns around slowly to see his "best-friend", Michael, running towards him. He looks around for any exits. "Damnit..no where to run..." He mentally curses and puts on a fake smile. "H-hey buddy..." Devin says in his sweetest voice.

"Devin! I'm so glad too see you again! It's been so long!" He yaps about missing him over summer break. "How are you, man?" He asks.

"Hm? Oh, I'm doing alright. How about you?" Devin asks, looking around and sees someone running. "Who's that..." He whispers to himself.

"I'm doing alright!!" He puts on a wide smile.

"Hng..what time is -" The bell rings, cutting off Devin's words. "Ah fuck. I'll see you later Mike, I have to get to English. Ms.Rangur is a bitch to me when I'm late." Devin waves and runs off in the direction towards his English class.

"M-mike...?" Michael blushes from his words and walks towards his math class.

"Dru! You're late!" Ms.Rangur yells out. "Why is that?!" Venom seething through her words.

"Er..I woke up late..?" Dru said terrified from all the looks the students gave him.

"That's a poor excuse...but an acceptable one. Seeing as you came back from Summer Break. I admit, even I woke up late. Go to your seat." She said, softer.

"Thank you ma'm." He nodded and walked towards his seat in the back, hiding from all the people's looks.

Someone laid their foot out, and tripped Dru. He fell face-first, but didn't yell out in pain. He knew they'd laugh even more if he cried. "HAHAHAHAHA!!!!" Someone laughed wayyy to hard. "Loser!!" Some girl yelled out. "Nerd!" There..that's the word..

"Woah, are we having a party in here or what?" Someone says from behind Dru.

"QUIET ALL OF YOU!" Ms.Rangur screams out. Everybody shuts-up. "Now then. WHY ARE YOU LATE TO MY CLASS AGAIN, DEVIN?!" She yells again.

"Jeez lady, I forgot the time. Anyway, what did I miss? And who's on the floor?" He walks near the fallen Dru, and picks him up by the arm. "Oh, hello...uhm..what was your name again?" Devin asks.

"He's Nerd-Boy Devin!" Some girl yells out.

"N-no..that's not my name..." Dru says quietly. "My name's Dru...." He whispers.

"Well why didn't you say so? My name's Devin! Nice to meet you!" He smiles and looks around. "Where do you sit?"

"Er..at the back..." Dru says quietly.

"Okay!" He smiles again and leads him towards his desk.

Wow....someone's nice to me for a change...
