"My head bleeding, I found myself lying on the red carpet in my living room. As I regained my composure, I saw Cassidy, lying on the floor, unconscious. Still limping, I rushed towards her. But I was too late. I tried to wake her up, but she was unresponsive. All I could do was hug her. Then, it was the wound on her wrist that finally convinced me she was dead".

"That's it?", asked Melinda with a frown on her face.

"I'm sorry? Look. I hired you because I think your work history will save me from this mess. But I think I'll be making another call then", Daniel said with an irritated tone. 

"Whether I have a good work history or not, if you don't tell me the truth, we might as well start digging our own graves now," she replied.

 "What do you mean? I just told you what happened," he replied.

"Well, I guess you surely are going to be making that call now," she said after picking up her briefcase. Then, Melinda walked towards the door.

Daniel, displeased, he tucked his both hands against his face and took a long breath. "We killed someone! Oh Fu..."

"Now, we are talking," she said while reaching for the chair.

Daniel took a bottle of wine and sat on the couch in front where Melinda was seated.  His hands shaking, he offered one glass to her. She declined. 

"Alright. We went wild boar hunting in Mindanao. It all went well until..."

"Details!" Melinda said before Daniel could continue.
