I don't focus on one book at a time, I start a bunch and update different ones at different times. it's stupid I know but oh well. I would recommend not reading this yet if you don't want to deal with the slow updates.*Jack's pov*
"Mom, i'm home," I called out, after walking through the door after school.
"Hi sweetie. How was your day?" I heard her respond from another room in the house.I followed her voice, into the kitchen.
"Okay I guess. It was school. Nothing special," I reponded, while setting my backpack down on the table. "Need help?" I asked her refering to the food she was cooking.
"Oh no thank you. I got it," she said with a warm smile. I smiled back and went upstairs into my bedroom. I changed into basketball shorts, and took my shirt off. I went into my bathroom, took out my contacts, and replaced them with my glasses. I went back downstairs to do my homework. It was Friday, so the homework wasn't due until Monday, but I knew if I didnt do it today, I would forget about it. So I sat down at the table, and did it. It was pretty easy, so it didnt take me long to finish.
When i was done, I went back up to my room, and grabbed my basketball, and went outside for a while. I put my headphones in my ears, and my phone in my pocket. I listened to music, and shot some hoops. After a while I got bored of playing by myself, so I sat on the curb, and took out my phone. I went into the group iMessage I had with my friends Jack and Sam.
(Texts between the Jacks and Sammy)
Johnson: Hey, wanna come over and play basketball?
Sammy: fo'sho
Gilinsky: imig
Johnson: k cool
(end of conversation)
Jack and Sammy only lived a few blocks away, so I went inside to tell my mom they where coming over. I walked into the kitchen, where she was still cooking. "Hey mom. G and Sam are going to come play basketball for a little while," I told her.
"Alright Jack. That's fine," she replied with a smile. She continued, "Oh, if you want sweetie, they can stay over tonight. I'm going to go see my sister for a few days. I don't really want you to be home alone for that long."
I smiled. "Okay. Cool. When are you leaving?" I responded.
"Tonight. I'm trusting you Jack. Please be good and don't do anything stupid while i'm gone," she told me with a small laugh.
"I won't. You can trust me, I promise," I told her and smiled. She siled back. I walked over to her and kissed her cheek, set my glasses on the table, then went back outside to wait for Gilinsky and Sam.
After a while, I saw the boys coming down the street, and soon, they where in prefect view. Thye came over to where I was standing in my front yard, and we did this bro hug, hand shake thing we do. We talked for a few minuets, then started playing basketball.
It got pretty hot, considering we where running around. We where all shirtless within twenty minutes. We played basketball for about an hour, then we sat on the curb to take a break and talk for a while.
"Aye," I started. "My mother is going to be gone for a couple days. Wanna do something tonight?" I asked Gilinsky and Sam.
"I can't," Sam said. "I have this lame family thing early tomorrow.
"I'm going to some party tonight," Jack G said. "You can come if you want or,"
He was interrupted by someone calling out names. "J, G, Sam!" They said. I knew that voice. It was my best friend. My neighbor. The most beautiful girl in the world. The girl that I was completely in love with. Ashley.
"Or you could hang out with Ashley," he said with a small laugh. G knows how I feel about Ashley. He winked at me, then went over to Sam, as Ashley came over to me.
"Hey JJ," Ashley said to me with a big beautiful smile. I rolled my eyes playfully, and embraced her in a hug. She always calls me 'JJ' because she knows it bothers me. I don't really care too much when she does it though. It's cute when she says it.
"What up girl," I said in a weird voice after letting go from the hug. She shrugged her shoulders and smiled again. I laughed little. "You wanna sleep over tonight? My moms gonna be gone," I told her.
She looked over at Jack and Sam. "Like, all of us?" She asked. She used to have this really big crush on Sam when we where younger, and he knew. She called him her boyfriend. She gets really embarrassed around him now.
I laughed at her. "No. Just me and you," I explained. She smiled and nodded.
"What time do you want me to come back over?" She asked me. "I don't want to kill your basketball game," she said with an adorable giggle.
"Uhh," I stated," I don't know when my mom is leaving. I'll just text you," I said, and she nodded. "Oh, and I don't give a shit about the basket ball game," I told her with a slight smirk. With that, I quickly picked her up, and threw her over my shoulder, then ran across the street to her house. When I got onto her front porch, I set her down, and gave her a big, cheesy, smile, as she rolled her eyes at me.
"Okay well, get your stuff. I'll text you after my mom leaves okay?" I told her.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever JJ," she responded.
I rolled my eyes, and wrapped my arms around her, pulling her into another hug. "See you soon bruh," I said, and jogged back across the street to my house, as she laughed at me.
