The Peculiar Wolf

Chapter 1

It was quiet. Trees danced against the wind that had my ears twitching for some time. I was in the woods in my wolf form, looking for hunters that are ready to shoot vulnerable animals. I know hunters hunt for food, but it doesn't mean they'll go hunting for wolves like us. Our identity are kept secret by the government—still, selfish humans seemed to be persistent in hunting us down for a great cause.

"Humans again?" A familiar voice said behind, making me growl.

"Calm your ass little pup. Your growls won't make me submit." He whispered, looking like an idiot.

I ignored him shifting into my human form, and went to the nearest tree where I usually left my clothes to wear, but I was surprised to see it was missing.

"Hey sexy!" He called, as he raised my underwear up in the air. "Looking for this?"

Embarrassed, I shifted into my wolf form again and lunge at him, but he was fast to shift into his wolf form. I tried to catch him, but I was no match with this Beta. It took us a hour just running in circles until I finally stopped, pretending that I was exhausted, and as he got closer to me, I successfully snatched my underwear on his mouth.

He shifted back to his human form looking like a mad child that got its candy stolen away.

"That's cheating. Give it back!" He demanded, naked in front of me.

I slowly shifted into my human form and looked at my underwear that seemed to be habituated by holes. I took a deep breath out of frustration and shifted back to my wolf form.

"I'm sorry Mandy." He said, sincerely.

I looked at him with my disappointed wolf look and dashed back to the pack house. Rin was stupid. A total idiot. I could have ignored him if he wasn't my friend. He was one of the person I accepted that I could trust, but sometimes his silliness can ruin my day. I never talked to anyone in the pack, and everybody believed I was born mute except him and my parents. They knew that I could talk like a normal person, but I chose not to because I sounded more feminine than masculine. I guess that's what makes me of who I am—a silent omega of Crystal Pack.

Reaching the front gate being locked is not usual for me. But for this time it was open. Probably Rin opened it to follow me again. I shifted to my human form and I silently walked going at the back of the house where the window of my room is located. But I hesitated to climb the five storey building as I remembered that I locked the window of my room. Now I have to enter the front door.

Scanning the vicinity I was relieved to see no one. Not even a sign of any living creation. I relaxed myself and thanked the goddess that I was alone. I went to the front door with my face against the door; listening carefully for any sound.

As I was about to reach for the knob Rin caught my attention. He is not naked like I was. And he got my clothes except my underwear.

"Sorry, please, I swear next time I'll make sure not to play with anybody's garments." He pleaded, with a slight grin on his face. I only looked at him like I usually do at some piece of wood.

"By the way, I like to see you naked." He added, making me blush in a matter of seconds.

I turned my back at him and reached for the knob. I slowly twisted it and to my surprise the Alpha and his male guests was standing in front of me. His guests looked at me with lustful intent. My heart was pounding abruptly as I stepped back.

"It's a pleasure to meet you young pup." The blond guest said, winking at me as I stood still.

"I strongly disagree for you to entertain these two." Alpha Mason pronounced, signaling Rin and I to go inside.

"Can my son at least visit him here? He might be my son's mate. I'm sure he would be glad to meet the kid." The other guest suggested, looking at me as I and Rin made our way inside.

"I'm sorry, but I can't grant your request without his permission. That's how things work around here. And besides he does not talk to anyone." Alpha Mason explained, as they went outside.

Rin and I made our way to our individual rooms. I was behind Rin as we walked upstairs silently like we were at each other's throat. I wondered who my mate is, and what does he look like. And what did the Alpha and his guests talked about. It wasn't normal for the Alpha to invite some guests in the house. Usually, he does it when there are big occasions or a party to celebrate with or something that calls for a meeting. But if there is. What's the occasion? Who should we celebrate? And Meeting doesn't happen without this beta in front of me.

"For the last time, sorry again Mandy." He repeated, looking sorry for what he did. I did not release any word. Instead, I smiled at him and close the door.

"What a stupid Mutt!" I released, taking deep breaths to calm me down. I looked at my messy bed and slumped down against it.

"What's so special about me? I'm nothing but a normal Omega. If Mom and Dad were here I could be more happy than I was with Rin." I sighed, facing the ceiling for hours.

After a silent looking at the ceiling moment. I decided to go to the bathroom and took a hot shower. I let myself drowned from the smell of spice inside my bathroom. I know that wolves hate something that is scented or hiding one's wolfy smell, but consider me as a different one. As a matter of fact I really loved perfumes, scented candles and anything that smells sweet.

After I completely cleaned myself in my bathroom, I dried myself and took the last bar of chocolate on my night stand and the book that my mother left me when I was sixteen. I opened the chocolate bar and started eating while I red myself to sleep.
