Chapter 13

I woke up with Giovanni's arms wrapped around me, but I think it's only because the past two weeks, I have been fighting him and Angelo on staying in bed. I hate just lying in bed, and I mean for the first couple of days I did, but when I started to feel better, I fought them. Angelo made Giovanni stay with me since he had to work.

Giovanni couldn't work since the men are after him, and Angelo is the king anyway. Giovanni vanished at times, meaning I got to leave, but I got caught by Angelo. Angelo yelled at Giovanni, which I thought was fun, and he knew because he saw me smiling. Angelo did say I would get punished when I was healthy, but I said it was worth it, and Angelo knew I would say that.

Giovanni deserved it because he was gone for an hour. I asked him where he was doing, and he didn't tell me, so I don't regret it or the second time nor the third or fourth. Giovanni didn't learn his lesson, or he was going to visit someone. I don't know, but it was funny because his dad even yelled at him once. Today is the day we figure out if they killed the people who are after Giovanni and kind of me, and I hope they did.

I want to leave this house, and I have also been with Giovanni for two weeks, so now I will be with Angelo for two weeks straight. After that, the week thing will go in effect, I guess. I don't know. I looked at Giovanni and then slipped out of his arms to go take a nice long, hot shower. It felt so good, and once I finished, I dried and brushed my hair out.

My hair was finally able to curl again, and I left it down as I dried it out. My bruises were all gone, and I am so happy. I am also not hurting, which I am happy about. Once I finish up, I went to the closet I put on a tan, and white lace thong set then went to my clothes. I looked through my clothes and grabbed a black, round neck, spaghetti strap crop top with a high rise, plaid skirt. I also grabbed a leather jacket with high raise socks that goes just above my knees and short boots.

I think it's cute, and once I finished, a voice said: "What are you wearing?"

I turned around to see a half-naked Giovanni who is sexy as hell, but I still don't trust him. What's wrong with my outfit, though? It's cute, and I love the outfit. I grabbed the skirt, looked at him, and said, "What its cute Giovanni? Do I look ugly?"

Giovanni looked at me like I was dumb and said: "Of course not babe, you always look beautiful, but I just thought you would dress professionally."

"Nope, I wanted to be cute today, plus it has been forever since I have been able to wear real clothes. I am happy I am not bruised any more," I said as I walked over to him and got a suit for him. Giovanni took the clothes as he laughed and started to get dressed, making me leave, but before I did, he said: "Remember you are staying with Angelo for the next two weeks, Ava."

I shook my head yes and went to the kitchen to grabbed a banana to eat for breakfast. I feel like I haven't eaten for two weeks, so this felt good, and I got fruit loops. I know I am staying with Angelo Giovanni, I am not dumb, so why did he point it out. Giovanni seemed to happy when he said that to like he was happy, I was gone. What is that man finding from me?

Once I finished, I went to Angelo's office to see him with a man. Crap. I bit my lip and said, "Sorry to interrupt Angelo, so I will just go."

I went to leave, but he sighed, "What did you need?"

"Want to see what was going on," I question. Angelo shook his head yes and said: "Give me a minute, and everyone else is coming to, kitten."

I gave him a thumbs up and went outside to wait to look around to find a pool. Cool a pool. I haven't checked the house outlet, which is something I should have done, but this is on Angelo's side, not Giovanni's. I wonder if it Angelo's pool or Giovanni or maybe the house pool. Hmmm, I don't know, but it's cool and indoor with a bar built into the wall then a hot tub. I went to go closer, but a voice said: "I said, wait outside."
