Part 3

   "What do you mean Rudra?  Just a few minutes ago he requested me to help him to change his wife's decision for the divorce.  He was not playing! I felt the desperation in his voice.  More  over she was his long term girlfriend and his wife for almost 2 years. "  I couldn't believe whatever Rudy was saying.

   Rudy sighed heavily before starting.  "I know Gauri.  It's hard to believe.  But it's the truth." He stood up and went near the window to look at the sky before continuing. "O's Mom and Dad was really caring and loving.  So he never felt the need of someone else in his life to love him.  His only ambition was to make his parents proud.  After his graduation he started to help Tej uncle while doing his PG. O had to accompany Uncle to business meetings and parties.  He will take me along with him to the parties."

   He turned around to face me before continuing. " We never thought me being his side for almost every functions could create such rumors.  Lack of a girl beside him gave media a horrible idea that O maybe a gay!" My eyes widened at that. He chuckled " O was least affected by those gossips he was laughing his heart out. But me and Tej uncle started to worry about his reputation.  So we asked O to date someone even if it is fake.  He was not ready for that.  But miraculously Ridhimma proposed O soon after that.  O was going to reject her,  but we asked him to just give it a try. He agreed for us. "

  " He was honest towards Ridhimma.  He told her from the very beginning that it may not work between them and she was okay with it. From then she started to go for the functions with him. They were actually just friends, no,  just acquaintance.  After his college he joined in his father's business and was so engrossed in making good profits for the company that he never got time to build a love life for him.  So they continued their fake relationship. "

     He  took a deep breath before continuing "Then came the real blow. His parents death,  O was devastated."

   And I felt like someone squeezing my heart hearing that.  How can I forget his parents death.  It's going to be 3 years and every year I will go to the temple on their death anniversary to pray for their peace and Omkara's happiness. Swallowing the lump formed in my throat I concentrated on Rudy's words.

   "Omkara always wanted to become part of his father's business on the basis of his capability not just because he is the only legal heir. So he made sure that the company will choose their CEO only if two third of the board of directors agree for it. In their eyes O was too young to take the responsibility of a huge firm after his father.  Some of them had this narrow thinking that only a successfully married man can take wise decisions.  Tej uncle always wanted to see him as the CEO of their firm so O wanted to fulfill his father's wish. Then Ridhimma stepped in saying she is ready to marry him. First O was reluctant about that but he had no other choice.  It was clearly a marriage of convenience.  He made it clear to Ridhimma that they will be two individuals living together within the four walls. She was okay with that."

  Rudy sighed deeply "First I had suspicions,  why she would do something like this,  then I thought maybe she truly love him.  And she had benefit too. That time her father's business was at loss and O helped them.  She was just started her modeling career. After sometime she started to pressurize O to invest in fashion industry too,  he was not interested.  She will tag along with him whenever there is a chance to meet anyone who have hold in fashion world.  I never really bothered about it. Then about three months back I started doubting her intentions and I hired a PI and what he found out about her was too much to digest. She was actually using O."

He paused for second before continuing." Her father was in desperate need of financial support for which O was her solution then she was planning to get a divorce from him and in that way she can claim for a huge alimony.  But she never thought she will have to sign for a pre nuptial agreement which will become a hindrance to her alimony plan,  thanks to O's lawyer. Then she changed her plan and tried to climb her modeling career using his connections which also didn't work due to O's ideology,  that everyone should work their own to get whatever they want.  So she decided to quit the drama."
