Xiao Zhan felt he was being devoured virtually as those pitch black eyes bored into his. He tried to maintain his stance and coughed to initiate a conversation.

" Ahmmm.... You see Wang yet you are hesitating to bow down.. "
Xiao Zhan smirked and praised himself in his mind. Now who's blaming him for being a bookworm.

The man in black immediately knelt down and kowtowed " Greetings for the son of Heaven, your Majesty. This insolent guard made a horrible mistake. Please punish me. "

Xiao Zhan was startled by his behavior towards him. At first, he was gazing at him inappropriately and now what? He was so confused that he can't help but ask " No need for me to punish you...just do tell Wang your name "

" This shadow guard is called ' Yibo ', your Majesty" Yibo frowned thinking ' he has even forgotten me. Is this because of the illness or is this just a show to fool others?'.

Without realizing he was being suspicious, Xiao Zhan continued his play " Good name... ahumm.. continue to serve me. For now, I have to leave Palace for some private matters "

Yibo got up from the ground and blocked his way.
" Your majesty, it is inappropriate for you to go out of Palace for the time being. "

Xiao Zhan cursed in the back of his mind ' F*** ... that's scary '. He showed his dissatisfaction by sighing and glaring " You dare go against Wang's decision"

Yibo knelt down again and said " This shadow guard dare not. However, your Majesty have just recovered from your fatal illness and you're still very  weak. Also, you still need to be aware of assassins because this is a critical period that politicians are in a state of chaos."

Xiao Zhan considered about what Yibo said thoughtfully and said
" What you've just said is appropriate. I'm just a weakling who can't handle the situation so what do you think I should do ? "

At first, Yibo was hesitant to answer the questions but said after a while
" This shadow guard suggests your Majesty to recuperate in your Palace and allow me investigate about the situation in West Palace "

West Palace ? Ah' Xiao Zhan realized there must be someone who wanted to assassinate him in West Palace like in the drama. Even thinking about it, gives him goosebumps.

" Ok. You do that. After that, go and buy desserts from the most famous restaurant here in this era...  I mean here and don't be late '

' Yes, your Majesty '

Yibo kowtowed Xiaozhan and immediately disappeared in a flash, leaving Xiao Zhan in amazement. Xiao Zhan froze for a while but later
" Omg! I'm finally in a real- life drama and also without heart disease.
I must use this opportunity to experience things I couldn't " said to himself  and went back to his palace without even realizing what's lying ahead of him.
