Seventy // H.S.

Chapter 8

While we were on the car, Niall was practicing his song. He was going to sing So Sick By Ne-yo. I love it when he is singing this song. He makes me fall for him. Everytime he sings, he makes me smile. His voice is my favorite sound.

“Well, I guess you're ready!” I said when he finishes his song.

“Gab I'm so nervous.” He said.

“Don't worry love, I'm here for you.” I held his hand and lie my head in his shoulder.

He kisses my head and lies his head on mine. We look like a couple but we aren't.

“We're here.” His mom says.

Niall got down from the car and he was like sniffing. I held his hand to make him comfortable.

“Gabby, you and Niall looks good together.” Greg teases.

“Shut up Greg, we're just... Friends.” I said.

He laughs while we were walking towards the guy who was holding the numbers. We went inside the stadium and waited until it was Niall's turn.

“Man, you're up.” The stage manager tells Niall.

Last hug from Niall before he goes to the stage.

“Goodluck. Do your best!” I said and pinched his cheek.

He nodded and went straight to thw stage. I know he's very nervous. I was like at the backstage and doing cross fingers. While Niall was singing, I can feel my heart beat faster and louder. It feels like my heart is going to blast. I have my disease. I have dilated cardiomyopathy. I can't get tired and I can't get nervous or else I might lose my breath. The good thing is, my dilated cardiomyopathy didn't attacked me this time. I am so thankful for this. Niall had one no and three yes'.

“Don't let us down okay?” Katy said.

“He wont.” I whispered.

I saw Niall walking to us. I let him hug his family first. Then he hugged me. I can still feel his heartbeat.

“I told you that you can do it.” I said.

“Thankyou for the support Gab. I don't know how to thank you.”

“Well, you said 'thankyou' then that's enough.”

He hugs me tighter and I hug him back. I am so proud of Niall and at the same time, thankful for having a bestfriend like him.
