Balance Between All (Highschool DxD Fanfiction)

The Beginning

My name is Ein Maxima and this is my story. Well, not yet but, it will be. First, I need to tell you how it all began.

In the beginning, there was nothing, except for the entity known only as of the Emperor. It stayed like that for years, until he began to want more. You see, he was lonely and he wanted to have someone with him, so, he created the entity known as the Universe. She was to be his bride. This satisfied them both more years, then they had children. Their children were, as we call them now, the Elements. Soon, the Emperor wanted more and more. He used his power with the power of his wife and children to create stars and the biggest one, Legacy, was to be there home. To live there they needed physical bodies, so, they became, what we call, dragons. They chose this form as it made them appear fierce and strong. However, most of his children and been born with the same trait has him, the trait of wanting more. So, they began having children of their own. The problem was, these children were defective, as they had been born from siblings, creating the first problems of this world. Some to list are war, death, disease, and greed. But, they wouldn't stop, so, more evil things were born until the Emperor stepped in and demanding it to be stopped, outlawing children from being born from direct siblings. This outraged his children, causing the first war. The war destroyed much of what had been built, it cracked the very star they lived on, and it caused fights between the Emperor and his wife, and it appeared it wouldn't be over anytime soon. So, the Emperor had an idea. He created new beings. Beings created to help control this new world. The first to be created was the two-headed entity Balance. Created to always keep the world balanced and that they did. The first action that was taken after their creation was the stopping of the war. Then, knowing how it feels to be lonely, the Emperor created a partner for Balance. He created Magic. Now, magic was already a thing, however, the entity of magic was created to contain the magic of this world to allow control over who could use magic and who couldn't. After many more years of perfect balance, they decide to also have children, believing in them to not have uncontrollable children the Emperor allowed this. Thus birthing some of the most powerful dragons in history. Such as Ddraig, Tiamat, and Albion. Although, after feeling the power radiating off of their children, they stopped having more. Some of their children had the same idea as the children born from the Emperor, they had children of their own. These children were not deformed, however. These children were the weaker dragons we know of in history. Such as Ladon and the Hydra. They stopped once they felt the power of their children. The Emperor was furious once he learned about the lesser dragons, so, in an attempt to stop this once and for all, he declared that no children were to be born ever again. This caused everyone to become angry and, once again, started a war. This one last for years, as it could not be stopped by Balance. This war eventually led to the destruction of Legacy, killing the Emperor, whose death created the first planet, Earth, causing his power to be split and scattered all over this new planet, his wife, whose death created the other planets, and their children, whose death unleashed their true forms creating the elements we have today. The children of the Elements, however, were spared, although they could no longer take on physical forms. Magic was also killed during the war, wrapping themself around Earth to be it,s protective barrier. The star that was born from Legacy was too small and weak to allow for the beings now occupying this world, so, they moved to Earth. So, in order to stop this kind of war from happening again, Balance declared that restricting birth was outlawed. So, everyone resumed their normal life again, however, weirdly, still, no children were born even after it was allowed, at least for a few years it was that way. Eventually, the lesser dragons had children of their own, known now as the Divine. Such as Angels and Gods. They too stopped after a while, though. Then the strongest of the Divine, known as Gordon, decided to have children of their own birthing humans. These humans were very weak and very easily swayed by the evil entities that roamed. This caused an angel by the name of Lucifer to tell Gordon that his children were evil and should be killed. Outraged by this, Gordon cast Lucifer down from the angels home in the clouds, called Heaven, creating the first Fallen Angel. Lucifer decides he would kill them himself. So, he went on a killing spree. This changed him, however. It twisted his body, distorted his now black wings into unknown shapes, and changed his hair to a deep blood red. Upon the final death of this spree, Lucifer was cast down from earth into what is known no as Hell. Eventually, there were others like him. Some would become Fallen and try to make up for what they did, while others became demons themselves. Lucifer became the king of the demons and was known as the Devil and the Fallen held elections for there leaders. Eventually, another war between the Angels, the Fallen, and the Demons were started. It ended upon the death of Gordon, whose death created the divide of good and evil. To the Angels, Gordon was a god, so they began to call him one. Over time the name Gordon was replaced with God and the Angels called him their father believing him to be the one true father of all. During this time the humans were thriving, the gods, the Angels, and the Demons noticed this and had children with them creating Demigods and other such things. Eventually, it became too out of hand, so, the gods and the Angels decided to stop having children with humans and the Demons decided to only allow certain Demons, known also as Devils, to be allowed to have a group of humans to be trained to become full Demons. Life was once again normal for everyone. Then, some of the Demigods began killing dragons, causing another war that ended with most Demigods and almost all dragons being dead. In the aftermath of that war, humanity began to advance. They had some minor wars, but humanity was still going. Then, the dragon's powers began to manifest into armor, weapons, and trinkets. These items were, and still are, called Sacred Gears and they hold the powers of certain dragons. This caused problems between humanity and the Fallen Angels. Thus, to stop another war, Balance came down to Earth in his physical form. This backfired, however. The humans believed Balance to be too powerful, so, they created a device to contain the power of a dragon. However, when activated in front of the dragon, it didn't work, instead, it split the power of Balance and trapped only the consciousness in the amulet, also splitting the amulet. They gave the amulets to a trusted family who kept it for hundreds of years. As time passed, life for everyone became better and better. The demons no longer wanted humans dead and instead were killing the fallen who did. All was well with the world. Until I and my twin sister were born. On that day, everything changed.
