After going through the plan about five times I got out the car and walked to David's house, the plan was in motion. This was going to be a long night...."Lethu, Is that you?" Zandi called out from the living room, as I walked in Zandi was sat on he couch and next to her was a young coloured lady. She had bouncy curly brown hair a light brown skin with a slender body, she turned to face and held a stern look on her face. "Hello." She spoke ohh so innocently, "hello, I'm Lethu." I replied back in a much rather sadistic tone than I'd anticipated. "How I thought you two knew each other. You speak as if anazi, or are you being shy?" Zandi said surprised
"What do you mean? I don't know her aunt Zandi." The coloured responded confused, I too was as confused as she was. "Thando, aren't you the one who told Lethu she could stay here until you come back from KZN?" Realisation crashed in on me as I finally recognised the coloured girl sitting next to Zandi known as Luthando or Thando as Zandi prefers to call her. She looked at me then at Zandi, then at me once more and after a moment of her studying her white Converse shoes and Zandi staring at her confusion written all over her face, "ohh yes!" She coughed out , "KZN was so hectic, I even forgot about the plans Lethu and I had." She seethed eyes glaring at me. "I can imagine intombi yam." Zandi replied gently. "Yeah, umm I think I'm gonna head home now, I'm really exhausted." Luthando yawned, then stood up from the couch and stretched her arms clearly indicating her tiredness, "Luthando?" Zandi called out to her before she grabbed her luggage "have you seen David? He hasn't been home for two days now and he's not picking up his phone." Zandi announced worry visible on her face.
"No, now that you mentioned it he hasn't replied to any of my texts. His last seen was like.... Yhooo! Mamma Zandi Tuesday 09h39." Luthando exaggerated, I don't get why she had to be dramatic when she looked at his last seen. It's ridiculous, I mean just because someone was last seen online two days ago doesn't mean you have to make a big deal about it. My online last seen was like three years ago, that's something to react to. "This worrying you know?? Should I go to the police station a-" just before Zandi could finish her sentence I interrupted, " NO! I-I m-mean no. If he's not back by tomorrow then y-you can o-o-open a case a-at the p-p-p-police station." Idiot I shot to myself internally, since when do you stutter? My inner voice questioned. Once again I interrupted Zandi before she could say anything, " Luthando's birthday is coming up soon a-and D-David is probably planning something!" Once again I stuttered out this better not be a habit my inner voice warned. It was right though, I can't be stuttering every now and then when I'm nervous. Luthando watched me suspiciously while Zandi was deep in her thoughts. "Well he could have atleast told me." Zandi sighed and walked out the living room then entered a room I'm is the bathroom, I got out my phone and texted Thato telling him about a new plan that had just popped into my head.It would be too risky to kill everyone now that little miss Luthando decided to arrive one day earlier. "Mamma Zandi, ndiyahamba ngoku! Sala kakuhle." Luthando told, she grabbed her luggage that was right next to where I was standing. Just before she'd walked past me she gave me a good look then left. As soon as I heard the door shut a cynical smile formed on my lips as I crossed my arms with one eyebrow raised as I stared into the empty living room. I hadn't noticed that nobody was home except for Zandi. Usually everyone would be in the living sitting together.
"Umm... Zandi?"
"Yes dear, ndingakunceda njani?"
"Where is everyone?"
"It's Father-daughter bonding night, so Kenneth and Qawe went out to have some fun"
"Are you hungry?" She asked, "umm not really." I simply replied "well I'm making some popcorn, would you like some?" She offered, a little popcorn and movie wouldn't hurt so I agreed and started searching for a movie, after scrolling through the movie channels I decided on selected one called Glass.***
The house was silent except for the TV playing and the sound of popcorns being crushed. suddenly the door jerks open then closes with a bang, both Zandi and I jump on our seats. "Mamma?" A familiar voice booms in from the front door, Zandi gets up standing in front of me protectively. David appears walking into the living room soaking wet, he had changed into a black diving suite. his cheeks were a mixture of bright purple and dark blue, Thato must've beaten him up most probably. "David," Zandi hitched while she walk-runned to her son then threw her arms around his neck tightly afraid of letting him go "where were you? I was so worried my boy." She weaped, when David's eyes averted to me he jumped instantly startling his mother in the process. "l-l-lethu, h-h-how a-are y-y-y-" she stuttered his body trembling at my sight, "I'm fine thanks." I butted in before he could finish, he nodded his head and left the room probably to go change. I was left alone in the room holding a grin on my face. I got out my phone and dialled Thato's number,
"Hello?" Thato breathed from the other end of the line,
"It's time for phase two. I'll see you tomorrow." Afterwards I hung up the phone and smiling devilishly....A/N
It's been a while since inspiration kicked in. Now, what is this phase two that our beloved psycho is talking about?
