Fallout (Yoonjin post-apocalyptic story)

Timeskip two weeks (Yoongi and Seokjin are chosen)

Yoongi's brother comes and shakes Yoongi awake. "Yoongi get up! You've been chosen to go above ground for the water purification project"! He says.

"What"? Yoongi asks. He couldn't believe it. He was stunned. He never even thought that he'd be chosen.

In fact, he never even thought he'd be able to go above ground. He is just giddy. Not with excitement, but with nerves.

He's nervous because he doesn't know who his partner is. He hopes it's Seokjin. So when he leaves the bunker, he's pleasantly surprised to see Seokjin standing there.

"Hi. I'm Kim Seokjin. I'm your partner for this project". Seokjin says shyly. He sticks out his hand for a handshake. Yoongi takes it and he shakes his hand.

Yoongi smiles to himself. 'Well, this is a great start'. He thinks happily to himself. He clutches his 20 millimeter gun.

He notices that Seokjin has the same gun as him. They use the guns for protection against radioactive threats.

Yoongi holds his arm out, shielding Seokjin. He points his gun towards a suspicious noise. But before he could shoot, a poisoned government official shot him with a radioactive sludge ball.

Yoongi held his shoulder and fell to the ground with a cry of agony. "Yoongi"! Seokjin cries. He runs to him, not before he shoots the poisoned government official, killing him.

Seokjin hears Yoongi panting due to the pain of the attack. He drags Yoongi underneath a tree. Seokjin begins to panic.

He could see Yoongi's shoulder glowing with the radiation. He knew he should ration their purified water, so he does.

Instead, he takes a syringe full of an anti-radiation serum out of his tucker bag and injects the serum into his shoulder.

Yoongi gasps as the radiation comes out of his body through his mouth. When all the radiation is out, Yoongi slumps in Seokjin's arms.

Seokjin feels his heart flutter. Yoongi looks so, angelic. He brushed Yoongi's jet black bangs out of his face.

He mentally slaps himself. 'Now's not the time to act on your feelings, Seokjin! Your on official business for your bunker! Stay professional'! He reprimands himself.

When Yoongi wakes up, he decides to set up camp for the night. They need their rest because the real project begins tomorrow.

This was just team building. Seokjin smiles as he watches Yoongi sleep.
