The Runners

Prologue

i whipped my head around to see who had a hold of my wrist and gasped. it was him, a zombie. he came close and raised his hand and stroked my cheek. my breath was quiet and i was started to sweat from the contagious poison each zombie gave away. he leaned his head closer to my mine and whispered, "Your dead now.". i was scared and shocked for the first time, zombies weren't supposed to be able to speak let alone have a mind to control there own movement. i was about to raise the gun when the zombie backed away out the door they had all came in from. time ha slowed for a second as i took a look at all my friends, i would never see them again. i looked to justice who was laying on the floor sweating profusely from another zombies touch. i could still save them, my friends. i had a 11 seconds to save them before i became one of the mindless zombies. i raced to the two zombies who were climbing to touch my friends who had climbed higher and reached for there hands to yank them down, as i touched them i head jake yell, "Sarah Don't!" i looked to him, my eyes held tears. "its to late jake, I'm as good as dead." i said yelling that turned into a whisper, he was at a loss of word as he looked at me. i was started to sweat more and my vision was starting to get blurry. i yanked the zombies down and ran with them pushing them past the door and shutting it then ran to the other zombies who were running aimlessly around the room and dragged them out the other door ad shut it too. then to justice, i grabbed both hands and gently pulled him up with him leaning on me and we walked towards the door. i opened and went out quickly turning back to look at y friends, my friends that i loved that i would never see again. the door started to shut and i sadly waved to them as they stood there in shock as i and justice stood here. as soon as the door closed i collapsed to the ground next to justice and fell unconscious as the poison of the zombie like change took over me.
