Chapter 8

'Be carefull of secrets, its only a moment of time until they get you'

Jimin POV:

I felt the cool autumn breeze pass by me, I fastened my blazer tighter around my waist to keep some warmth around me.

My mind was still full thoughts and sudden jitters of memories I couldn't free my mind even for a second, ever since Lisa came back.

I really have to keep my self control in check I cannot afford for anything to go wrong. Too many enemies are out there trying uncover my weakness and I cannot risk the lives of those around me.

I walked towards my building, but as soon as I had reached the main door, a figure quickly crept its way in front of me pushing the doors open.

At a second glance I quickly recognised it to be Jennie.

"Good morning Mr. Parks" she spoke with a shy smile.

"Good morning, Miss. Kim" I said while trying to walk past her inside.

"umm, Mr. Park I was wondering if you could check my progress in the shipment department. Just to see how I'm doing" she spoke as she walked besides me.

I stopped momentarily and turned towards her, "you work under Miss. Parks and your brother works under me so if you need someone to check your progress it should be Miss. Parks" I said trying to dismiss her as I walked off towards the elevator.

"Mr. Parks please, Miss. Parks has been quite busy" Jennie spoke while trying to match my pace.

I shook my head slightly and gazed at her for some moments, I could see her cat like eyes pleading. I hadn't quite realised how beautiful she is.

"why do you need me to check your progress, I'm sure you said you were qualified for this job" I said while I pushed the button for the top floor.

"And I also said that I wanted to learn from a great business leader like you" she replied. But she did have a point.

A sigh escaped my lips as glanced at her again "fine, when do you want me to check" I said while seeing the floor levels go up.

"umm... pretty sure after work hours we're both free" she said as she flicked through her calander book.

"OK, meet me in my office at around seven o'clock" I said, just as the elevator doors opened.

"Thank you so much Mr. Parks" she smiled, I'd be lying if I didn't find that attractive.

We both parted our ways, as I headed towards my office something didn't seem right. I hadn't realised before but there was a significant amount of workers not in.

I'm pretty sure there is no day off or holiday placed in for today.

I began looking around, my confusion grew by the second. All the financial departments were empty not a single person was working.

I ran quickly to the marketing team, a quick glance around showed not a single person there.

'Were the fuck is everyone?' I asked myself.

I began walking towards my office, as I opened the door to my surprise, there sitting on the small leather couch was Chaeyoung.

"Do you know what's happening?" I asked her closing the door behind me.

Her face had also seemed distraught, shaking her head "I don't know.... When I came in today most of the workers from the top floor were not here." she said her voice seemed heavy in distress.
