FATAL DESTINY
Together with all enchanting fantasies, epic wars, futuristic tales, never ending novels, and not-so-short short stories, comes a love sweet in a bottle, a love so sweet that it becomes fairly as poisonous. With great sacrifice comes a great story.
You may be wondering why we are looking at a girl crying on her knees at a vague looking faraway land on a man lying dead on a dusty ground. That girl is me. My father, in the scene, is dying out of sacrifice for our people, the limes. ‘The war will have no end’, my father always tells me, ‘and sacrifice is a great way to show gratitude to our motherland’ and I think to myself why was I ever created in the first place if I was born to be destructed, it feels like he is giving me no choice at all. I am the Cream of Limes, daughter of King Frederick of Limes and Queen Brenda of Bliss, ‘born to die, die for lives’.
It is my 15th year of living my awful life. Here in Limes, the land of the brave and courageous, we live to die, we work so freaking hard every day to formulate a decent way of dying because we believe that our birth is a sacrifice of another and we should bring back the favor. In my History class I’ve learned that every 7.671232 second of our lives here in Limes, a life is surrendered back to dust. And I’ve also learned that courageous really means stupid because we fight without a fight. We engage in battles without preparation of our physical and mental self yet we train nothing but our emotional state because being a lime is all in the heart, being fearless.
I am the princess of Limes and my father thinks that I am the rightful heiress to the throne rather than my brother Troye, which meant I am the sheep that’s first to die. There are 99.99% of limes that are more than grateful for their state of being, and I guess I’m the 0.01%, the black sheep, which makes me wonder what my dad sees in me that makes his decision so firm. I want to study math, to plant trees, to eat cake, to give my mom a peck, to experience my first kiss, to love a person and think of forever, I want to live my life, period.
There are exactly four nations in the planet Geneva; the Limes, the Bliss, the Quirks, the Hoarfrosts and a fifth that is not considered to be listed as a part of Geneva, the Bloodless. Geneva is a planet of war, wisdom and love. This is a mystical planet full of peculiar creatures you have never seen before, it may sound weird but it’s true. A train railway passing all four nations doesn’t mean we could just go anywhere when we have the desire to.
The Limes is a nation of trust, respect, and devotion. We know our destiny. Look around and you’ll see crystals green as an emerald stone; high rectangular buildings with pointy edges, Pegasus, dragons, shrines, castles, pavilions, cottages. You’ll literally see happy people here, smiling faces. Most have blue green eyes, brown hazelnut hairs usually braided with bows, and sharp noses wearing green and brown preppy dresses.
The Bliss is rather traditional. It is a nation of prosperity, elegance, and decency. Their attributes fits royalty the most. But a secret I’ll reveal, that they’re not joyful as they seem because they were drown of an inescapable obsession of a leafless plant called ‘Jammers’. I would not explain any further because it’s turning out to be weirder and weirder, and so I rhyme. Their nation is incapable of battling against the other nations because they are physically and mentally inefficient due to their drug addiction. Palaces, trees with pink round crystallized leaves, pink and purple gemstones on houses along the streets, snow weather condition. Their people are as pale as snow with pinkish blonde hair, big corset dresses.
The Quirks are mostly businessmen. It is a nation of trade, production, and loyalty. Quirks are very meticulous in what they do and are somehow known for being paranoiac. Buildings of silver and gold, towers, cyclone workers, gold glitters falling from the sky are all what this place is like. The life here is fast-paced, rapid, and organized. The people are very serious, which is reasonable. They have a small face with straight brows, long blonde hair (regardless of gender), and they wear jumpsuit dresses.
