I'm still somewhat new to the omegaverse world, so if I screw something up, I am SO SORRY. Just go with it! Let's go, my dudes!

Ciel's POV
"Hey, Ciel, can we please go?" Elizabeth begged me.
"No! The king is going to be there. That means annoying people and a bunch of alphas! I'm not putting up with jerks today!" I snapped back.
I've never enjoyed going to big events because alphas are always looking for weak omegas to pounce on. My cousin, Elizabeth, doesn't understand my fear since she is a beta, the normal ones to our world. I'm an omega, meaning I get uncontrollable heats that spring alphas into a rut. Because of this stereotype, alphas think they rule over the omegas, but I'd be damned if I let an alpha overpower me.
Elizabeth whined with her best pair of puppy-dog eyes, "Please, Ciel. We never go anywhere anymore! It's just a festival, and I'll be there with you, I promise!"
I hated it when she gave me that stare cause I couldn't help but give in. She knew once I took a long heavy breath, we were going to the festival. Elizabeth squealed and grabbed her purse before ushering me out the door of her parents' mansion.
Since it wasn't that far, we walked there together. I was on edge just thinking about the alphas, making me release a fearful smell that most likely went for miles. Just what I needed, a bunch of foolhardy alphas wanting to "protect" a fearful omega.
"You're gonna draw attention smelling like that." Elizabeth ticked her tongue and handed me a bandana from her bag. "Put this around your scent gland to choke down those fumes."
I nodded thankfully and did as told. The bandana was black, which was what I usually wear, but my cousin, on the other hand, wasn't a dark color fan. I didn't know why she had it. I wasn't going to bother asking her, trying to focus on calming down.
As we approached the festival gate, I could smell different omegas, alphas, and a few betas. It was a public place, so there wasn't going to be too much trouble until the king arrives. I wanted to leave before he came to escape large swarming crowds . . .
BUT we never get what we want, do we?
As Elizabeth and I finished a ride, a dominating scent flooded the air, nearly choking me. My cousin wasn't too affected; however, it was enough to make her sneer her nose.
"Damn," I thought aloud, "we just got here."
Elizabeth suggested, "Let's go to the opposite side of the king. That way, there won't be any crowds."
I agreed to her plan, knowing she wouldn't let me leave. We slid passed a large group of swooning omegas who caught a whiff of the alpha king's scent. They were nearly tripping over themselves to follow the trail.
"I don't see what so great about the scent." I scoffed. "It's not alluring what so ever."
Elizabeth chuckled softly, "It's an unmated king, Ciel. It doesn't matter if he smells good. He's got money, power, and looks."
"Looks? You've seen him?"
"No, but I've heard rumors."
We reached a small scenic area of the festival where there were barely any people. To pass the time, Elizabeth and I sat on a nearby picnic table. I wanted to wait out the king's presence until he left.
