The rules

When walking through the door and I'm met with snow up to my knees. The coldness runs along the my bare skin sending chills down my back. I quickly look around to see one of the guys walking to a box. I follow close behind him until he gets there. Getting next to him as he opens the box and I ask.
"Hey so what are we supposed to do out here."
The guy looks up at me for a second and back down at the box he pulls out a flashlight. He points in a direction and starts to walk over there to it. I continue to follow him he start to work on the machine.
"What are we doing?" I asked once again
"We have to get five of these gens before he kills us." He said "it's apart of the game."
"Game? How do we get out?"
"We do five and go back to the doors that we just came out of once there open you must run back threw them to be safe."
The machine dings and he starts to walk away aging than in the distance I hear a scream.
"What's that!?" I yelled
"Your on your own kid!" He than took off in the opposite direction leaving me behind.
I let out a sign and head into the Lodge walking in I could see that this place was run down it looked like no one had been here for years. I see another machine in the middle of the room walking over to it I start to fix it when I here some let out a scream that sounded like bloody murder I jumped it made me mess up on the machine I walk away and got into a near by closet Getting in I can see threw the little slits in the wood. My heart starts to race as I hear him come closer and closer. He walks into the room and starts to look around he comes straight to my closet and just looks at me.
"You smell nice." He voice was somewhat calming I wasn't that much scared of him anymore. He than turns around and runs away out of the room following by a scream. Getting out of the closet I continue to work on the machine until it dings. The lights come on and than another scream rings through the place. But this time it was different I walked outside just in time to see him running straight at me. I turn to run but his knife sinks into my shoulder blade I let out a scream as he stops running I touch my back looking at him I can feel the tears run down my face. I am scared. He slowly looks back at me he just standing there.
"Aren't you gonna run?" He asked.
"Are you gonna kill me?" I ask
He stood there shocked and than started to laugh. "I don't know where you think you are but I'll just say this once you are gonna die by me I'm going to watch as your life leave your eyes."
I stood up straight and walked over to him pulling on his hand he had the knife in and healed it up to my chest. "Than try to get me!" I pushed him hard and he hit the ground I turn around running as fast as I could away from him. Than I feel another stab enter my body I hit the ground I could feel the blood running onto the cold snow. He leans down and raises his mask enough for me to see his lips.
"you know it's a shame it has to be like this." He said to me rubbing his knife along my back.
He than stands and leaves me I hear the other screaming I feel like I'm going insane listening to all of this. So I close my eyes. When I do I can see my mom she's worried about me. She has people looking for me. When I open my eyes once more I could see a pair of legs coming closer to me. With every bone in my body I tried to fight back but as soon as I did I got stabbed in the arm. I let out a scream as the other one went into my cafe. Than he turned me around and stabbed me in the chest pulling it down ripping me open. I stare up at the sky cough up my own blood. He walks over to me and sits down next to me putting his knife into the ground.
"I killed everyone and I saved you for last just like I promised. Let's do this again soon." He looks over at me making eye contact.
I smile at him as tears come down my cheeks I'm so cold I let out a cough once more the blood went up and on his mask.
"Why do you smile?" He asked
I slowly start to close my eyes as I drift of into the darkness once more.
In my dream I hear nothing. It feels like I'm truly alone. Opening my eyes I see that I'm in the same room as before I slowly sit up to see my team in the room as well. I get out of the bed and walk into the cafeteria with nothing but a hospital robe I sit down at a table and just sit slightly watching as people act normal. Than I look over at him once more he is with his friends again there laughing. I watch as he tells the story of what happened in the game. I pull myself to look away from him when I hear someone come and sit next to me.
"Hey girl you look alive and well." His voice made me jump. "I think I forgot to tell you my name I'm frank. And these are my friends Joey and susie. And this young lady is my girlfriend Julie." He tries to put his hand on my shoulder and I pull away from him.
"That was very rude of you!" A hand slams on my back where I got stab I let out a small noise and grab the table.
"Easy Julie DONT hurt my new toy."
I look up and meet his mask. He still had my blood on the mask I trace the blood that was now dry
"Why?" I asked in a soft voice "why do you choose to hurt people?"
The group gets quite. I slowly stand up and walk away from him and his friends and go back into the room. Crawling into bed I pull the covers over my head and cry myself to sleep.
