Spring break had finally arrived and I didn't know how much longer I could contain my excitement. Usually around this time of the year, my mother and I would visit America to see my friends. We would always wake up early to go to the beach and watch the sunrise, and it was always one of the highlights of my year with my friends in the United States, so it was easy to say that I was looking forward to the relaxing days ahead of me.

However, Taehyung had mentioned something about attending this vacation-mission thing in China; the location was apparently close to Jiuzhai Valley National Park. Bora was extremely enthusiastic about it all. From the moment she heard about it, her mouth did not close for a second to stop babbling about every aspect and idea of things we could do when we got there. I'm not a huge fan of travel, even though I travel very often. Regardless, I do enjoy going to China.

I noticed recently that Taehyung had started being kinder to me. Yesterday, he came into my room after a small, soft knock on the door. Quietly, noiselessly, he placed a white box at the foot of the bed, looked me in the eyes with a peculiarly blank expression, then left. Beneath the wrapping paper were shoes that matched a pair of his own but were detailed with shades of pink and gold imprints on the sides. It became apparent to me that he had stopped yelling at me, and he even started acting genuinely friendly towards me.

Amongst these thoughts, it even crossed my mind that I was falling in love with him.

"Everyone needs to hurry up or we'll miss the plane!" Jin yelled into the ruckus of the house. It seemed like socks were being mismatched, phones were getting lost, and wallets were being forgotten at every corner that could be turned at. I scurried to grab my remaining items so I wouldn't slow down the group. After getting my toothbrush and toothpaste, water bottle, and a handful of underwear, I shoved them recklessly into my suitcase and zipped it up. My feet sped downstairs and nearly fumbled over Jimin's as I opened the front doors to see everyone chaotically loading their bags into the van.

The drive to the airport was uneventful, as was checking in and loading all of our luggage. With our handbags and carry-ons clutched in our hands, we had arrived on time with only five minutes to spare until the plane began to board. We sat in silence around each other at the gate and listened to the music in our headphones. Soon enough, we were walking through the clear jet-bridge that displayed what looked like miles of airplanes and runways against the light grey sky.

After returning the greeting of one of the flight attendants, I followed the line of people into the cabin and grazed my eyes over the mixture of letters and numbers above each seat. An exhale blew the hair on my neck behind me. When I turned my head, I suddenly fell sideways and was shoved into a random window seat.

"Tae, what the fuck?" I said as I glared up at him, trying to keep my cool. He towered over me like a wall and placed his finger over my lips.

"These are my seats. I let Namjoon and Bora have yours," he muttered. I reluctantly settled in my seat without a retort. He wanted to sit next to me.

"This is gonna be a long flight. Take a nap, princess."

Taehyung grabbed my carry-on and put it in the overhead compartment. While he put away his own bags, my eyes traveled down his casual outfit. Even through the dark orange sweatshirt, I could see his toned muscles flexing. A flash of his v-line appeared when he shut the compartment, and I quickly turned towards the window so he wouldn't see me stare. When he finally sat down, his elbow touched my arm while he buckled his seat-belt. Taehyung turned to me.

"Come on princess." He repeated the nickname and tapped his shoulder. I snuggled my head into the crook of his neck. I was out before I knew it.
