hey everyone! i'm so glad you chose to give this book a look! this is not perfect - as most books are - but I promise that I'd try and make this one worth your while!

the idea of this novel
came to me when I was watching a 90s romantic-comedy movie about two people falling in love while one of them helps the other win a certain friend of theirs.

of course, I wanted a take on that very specific genre, so I made them cousins, and kind of revert the story a little.

that basically follows the whole plot of this book, whereas our main characters Sierra and Will try their best not to fall in love in the process.

How To Win Sam Wheeler is a contemporary romance novel that I came up with during quarantine of April 2020 - which makes this book pretty new.

This is actually the seventh book I've written, but only the second that I published.

I wrote this because I wanted a different angle. I don't want a book based off properties, attraction nor lust. I wanted something more. Something raw to give.

I wanted to write a romance book with the real understanding of love, that my readers would be left to wonder what it would feel like.

This is actually more like a movie than a book to me, mainly because when I write novels, I want to imagine how the reader would feel like reading the just as an audience would in a theatre.

I wanted my readers to feel just as how I do, when I wrote the pages, and be in the moment. Sometimes, my books have a hint from the early 2000s, which was my favorite romcom era of all time :)

here are a few ideas that I feel portrays the characters well:

PS: I want my characters to have that 90s aura with them on their early 20s, because its what I felt when I was first writing this book.
So these are mostly actors and actresses from way back in the late 1990s & early 2000s.

*Also, please remember that characters from this novel varies around 20-24 year olds (with one 31 year old pregnant woman).

This story is run with mostly new adult characters, but I placed this under the #TeenFiction category since teenagers can easily read this very book.

However, mature theme is included since there are themes of profanity, often suggestive innuendos, and language that may affect younger readers, but no graphic scenes that depicts sensual activities are included.

cast:

Sierra Winters - One of the few women around her age to become a best selling author of the Romance genre, who ironically, needed help to make her crush fall in love with her at some point.
