I woke up to my loud alarm, ringing nonstop.

I groaned.

A new day without a book idea.

And I still haven’t figured out what to write.

Last night, one of the main execs of the Publishing company followed up about our "deal."

And now, I definitely regret ever picking up.

I sighed, forcing myself to get up and head to the shower.

Grabbing my towel, I was choosing which song to play – and sing – at my shower.

I chose One Direction.

A few minutes later, I head up upstairs to change, although it really hadn’t took that long, because all I put on was a white, oversized shirt, and some shorts.

I guess that’ll do.

I was walking down the stairs while drying my hair when Will’s face had appeared all of a sudden, leaning against the door.

“Hey, Caitlin,” He greeted her, not noticing me yet.

I widened my eyes.

“Will, what the –”I panicked at his sudden appearance, and slipped down a flight of stair, plummeting down with a nosedive. I groaned at the thought of a staircase injury.

Luckily, Will, sensing my cascade, rushed to the stairs in enough time to catch me. He literally was holding me then in a bridal style stopping me from darting further.

He raised his eyebrows, his melting gaze focusing on me.

“Did you just –” He started.

“Don’t say it,” I warned.

He paused, smirking at our weirdly unusual position.

“Fell for me?”

I smacked his chest.

“Shut up and let me go,” I said.

“Well, well, I could get used to this view,” He laughed. “A good morning would have sufficed though – not that I’m complaining.”

He nodded at our position, which was indeed an unusual way to greet someone early in the morning.

I glared at his comment. “Put me down.”

He chuckled. “Alright.”

But before he did, I heard Caitlin scream from behind. He placed me down, and we both hurried towards her. I looked at Caitlin, though she seemed to be fine. Stacy was behind her, who appeared to be smiling.

“What? What happened?” I asked, checking for bruises.

“Nothing,” She said. “I just never took you for an affectionate girl.”

Neither did I.

“What?”

He snorted. “She was heavy, I tell you. But it is quite a view, isn’t it?”

Stacy nodded. “Oh, it is. A very surprising one at that.”

I grunted, retrieving a glass of water for myself.

After a strange second, I was glad everyone was back to whatever the hell they were doing before our incident.

“Why you up so early, anyway?” I asked Stacy.

She chuckled. “You overslept. Caitlin and I wanted to eat breakfast together, so we waited for you.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Oh, okay.”
