An Angel
She watched the others fall
Silent lamb with eyes so full of longing.
She wanted to be like them,
Wanted to experience the touch, the fall.
She watched the Others talk,
From the electric spark of first touch.
She watched the Others walk,
With smiles full of sweet memories.
She watched as the Others elevated,
Higher and higher above the clouds to swam.
She watched the girl drift,
The grains of sands slipped.
She watched the boy collapse,
Broken bottle, drained cup- nothing left but pain.
She watched the boy call to the girl,
Threw his emotions before her feet,-torrential rain.
She watched the girl reject her half,
Turned away, ran and laughed.
She watched the boy break down and swear,
"Fuck life, what is there left to care?"
She watched with tears on her face,
Longing to reach out and comfort his heart's pace.
Instead she sat and watched from afar,
As the boy inflicted upon himself a devious scar.
Watched silently as the blade cut deep,
Breaking down, an angel began to weep.
Sobbing softly, stayed like that for days and waited.
When the boy spiraled up from down below,
Asked the angel why the tears.
"Because I love you", she simply stated.
