As homecoming approached, Carmen had considerably more annoying about it. The day of the big game came and she was now babbling in lunch.

"I'm just saying...I told you so," she said for about the twelfth time that day.

"Yes Car, you're right I get it, now let's move on," I said sitting down at the table.

"Hey guys," Skylar smiled.

"What's up?" Ryder asked.

"Carmen just telling me that she's right for the billionth time," I said rolling my eyes.

"I think it should be celebrated that I'm right," she shrugged.

"Yeah, she's never right so it should be celebrated," Tommy smirked.

"Hey!" Carmen said as we all laughed.

"Where's Blake?" I asked

"In the art studio, said it was important," Nate shrugged.

I frowned, I hadn't talked to Blake in a while.

"Don't look now but here comes lover boy," Carmen smirked.

"Very funny Car," I said taking a drink.

"Hey Harlow," I heard Logan's voice say. I immediately started choking on my water and Carmen was patting my back.

"Whoa, are you okay?" Logan asked, concerned.

"Fine!" I squeaked out feeling my cheeks burn in embarrassment.

"Listen I just wanted to give you my jersey, you know for tomorrow. My mom washed it and everything so don't worry," he said flashing the cutest grin ever.

"Cool! Thanks Logan," I smiled.

"No, thank you for wearing it," he said returning the smile.

Just then Tommy cleared his throat and Logan and I snapped out of it.

"Right well I'll see you later," Logan said.

"See you," I said still grinning from ear to ear.

He walked away and Carmen just gave me the most know it all smirk ever.

"Oh, shut up!" I said nudging her and rolling my eyes.

"I'm home!" I yelled throughout my house.

I didn't hear a response so I traveled upstairs to my room and threw my backpack on my bed. I figured my dad was in his office hard at work with his headphones in so I didn't want to bother him.

I grabbed a quick snack consisting of a bag of Doritos and cream soda and started my homework.

I heard a knock at the door and turned to see my dad with his laptop in his hand.

"Does door hinge rhyme with orange?" He asked.

"Depends, if you say it with the right accent," I said with a smirk.

"Hmm," he said shutting his laptop. "How was school? Where's your brother?" He asked.

"School was fine, Tommy had to stay after for a test and then he's heading to practice so I walked with Carmen," I said.

He nodded, "well your mother is going to be at meetings until late, so it looks like it's just us for dinner," he said.

"Chinese?" I asked.
