After we all ate I decided to walk out for a smoke since i haven't had one today.
Beverly followed me out.
"You know, what you did today was pretty cool" She said smiling.
We both got cigarettes out and lit them.
"Thanks i guess, it was honestly nothing" i said taking a hit.
"It wasn't nothing because you just met us and you were sticking up for us. It means a lot to Mike and Eddie too" she said smiling.
I smiled.
"Well you guys are welcome.. but why don't you guys stand up for urself. The guys big but trust me, if you insult his insecurities he crumbles beneath you" I said giggling.
"We try not to bother with him because he has two other friends who are just as bad." She said.
"Great, more guys i have to deal with in school." i said taking a hit.
"They aren't as strong as Henry so you should be okay. Us on the other hand, we will die if they try to get us" Bev said throwing her cigarette down.
She turned around getting ready to walk in.
"Wait..." i said grabbing her wrist lightly.
"Hmm?" She asked me.
"If they ever disrespect you, tell me cause i'll beat a bitch. You shouldn't be called a slut, nobody should. Even if you are, who cares. That's ur life, not everyone else's" i said letting her wrist go.
She looked down.
She looked back up and had tears in her eyes.
"Are you okay?" I asked moving closer placing my hand on her shoulder.
"I thought different about you, i thought you were gonna be a dick but i was wrong and i'm sorry i stereotyped you" she said smiling and wipping away the tears.
"Awhh... well thank you" i said smiling and pulling her in for a hug.
There's something about her that just gives me the idea that she's got it hard at home and that Henry calling her shit like a slut isnt making it any better.
Everyone else seems like they deal with it pretty good but she's different... behind that tough outside, she's soft and can't actually handle things so well.
"no, thank you" she said hugging me very tight.
It's crazy that this is my second day here and i've already made so many friends.
I'm glad i have a small friend group.
I'm glad that these guys are my friends.
We sat down on the curb and everyone walked out.
"We should all probably head home cause it is getting late." Eddie said.
