"Can't Help It

"D-Digger!!" you cried out as the guard began to drag you away from your Australian boyfriend. Digger looked on with sad eyes as he was starting to be led back to his cell. "No! Stop! Please! Don't take him away from me!" you sobbed, elbowing the guard in the chest, who let out an 'oof' as you ran into your lovers' arms. "Please, Digger! Don't leave me!!" you sobbed into his chest as he ran his hands throughout your hair.

"D-Darlin'..." he teared up a bit at the sight of his girlfriend breaking down. You reached up and tangled your fingers through his strawberry blonde hair, getting up on your tip-toes and placing a sloppy kiss on his lips. The guard, who had regained the ability to stand, came back over to pull you off the notorious Captain Boomerang as he was led away.

"I miss you so much, honey..." you sighed, reaching your hand through the bars of his cell.

"Ma'am, I can't-"

"Please!!" you pleaded with the guard. "Please... I just want to touch him..." you said through teary eyes. The guard seemed to hesitate, but allowed you anyway. You reached your hands through the bars as Digger caressed them, gently running them along his stubbly beard. You teared up and started to cry as he gently kissed both of your hands. You and Digger have been dating since you were 22 and he was 26. 

"Oh, kitten, please don't cry..." Digger said, his thumbs running over the tops of your soft hands as he held them in his bigger ones. 

"I-I can't help it... I-I don't want to leave you..." you sniffled, gently pressing your face to the bars. "I-I miss your kisses, your deep rumbling voice... Your handsome face, your sweet smile..." you sobbed a bit, but was silenced as Digger somehow managed to press a soft kiss to your trembling lips through the bars. You gently caressed his face as you let tears roll down your face. Digger gave you a small smile, a gold tooth glinting in the light.

"C'mon, love~ Lemme see that gorgeous smile~" Digger said with a grin. You blushed a bit and smiled just slightly. "Don't make me sing love~ I wanna see those chompers~" you blushed a bit harder. Digger knew that you loved hearing him sing, especially one of your favorites. "Wise men say~" Digger softly started, making you let out a little 'oh my goodness'. "Only fools rush in~ But I can't help~ Falling in love~" he caressed your cheek with his large, warm hand. "With you~ Shall I stay~? Would it be a sin~?" he wiggled his eyebrows a bit at that part, making you giggle a bit as you rested your cheek in the palm of his hand, gently kissing it. "If I can't help~ Falling in love~ With you~" you blushed a bit and reached your hand through, caressing his cheek. "Like a river flows~ Surely to the sea~ Darling so it goes~ Some things are meant to be~" he softly kissed your hand and gave you a dashing smile. "Take my hand~ Take my whole life too~ For I can't help~ Falling in love~ With you~" you smiled as his hands intertwined with yours as you both stared longingly at each other. "Like a river flows~ Surely to the sea~ Darling so it goes~ Some things are meant to be~ Take my hand~" he winked, "Take my whole life too~ For I can't help~ Falling in love~ With you~" he leaned close to the bars, "For I can't help~ Falling in love~ With~" he leaned closer brushing his lips against yours as he finished the song. "You~" he softly, but passionately kissed you as you let out a soft moan in response. You both gently pulled away and smiled at each other. A sniffle brought you out of your trance as you looked over to see the guard tearing up and sniffling. You smiled, gently pulling away from the bars.

"I should get going~" you said with a loving smile. "You have the most beautiful voice, Digger~" you softly said. Digger flashed you a smile, leaning against the bars and looking lovestruck. "I'll be back tomorrow, ok~?" Digger nodded. "I love you, George~" you smiled, blowing him a kiss as he reached up and 'caught' the kiss with a grin.

"I love you, too, darlin'~" he purred as you walked away. He meant every word that he sang. 

He really couldn't help falling in love with you~
