The Rogue King And The Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 1 - Betrayal

THIRD PERON POV

Alpha David was walking down the pathway to his house.Sweat was dripping from his forehead but it wasn't from running, it was because he was extremely nervous.He just made a decision that he knew would change not only his life, but everybody's life.He knew he would never forgive himself for what he just did but it was his duty as an Alpha to do whats best for his pack.The Alpha sighed as he pictured his only daughter's happy face.David knew she would probably never forgive him either and that was destroying him.He knew Ryan lied when he said his daughter was his second chance mate because things like that simply don't exist.You only have one soulmate and agreeing to this deal he destroyed his daughter's chance of ever having one.His heart shattered even more at that thought.The Alpha hated himself for doing that to his daughter but he had to keep his pack alive and well.They have lost too many warriors fighting the Silver Moon Pack and Alpha Ryan just wanted his daughter and nothing else.David stopped and looked at the happy family that was playing with their children in the playground close to him.A man was running after two little girls that must have been his daughters as his mate laughed.He smiled at the happy family.He sighed and whimpered a bit as he thought about how horrible his life got in just one day.His daughter would hate him by the end of the day and he couldn't do anything about it.

Soon enough he made it back to his house.With a shaky breath he opened the door and stepped into the living room.He smiled at the sight before him.His mate was snuggling with Angelina on the couch while they were watching a movie together.Popcorn was all over the floor and cheeto crumbs cowered their smiling faces.His son was sitting on a sofa, sleeping with his mouth wide open, lazy as ever.

"Hey dad." Angelina said with a small giggle

"What happened here?" He said with a chuckle as he glanced over the chips and cheeto bags on the floor

"Movie night." His mate Kathrine said with a big grin

David looked at his son sleeping on the sofa and laughed "Well Matthew seems to be having the time of his life."

Angelina frowned as she looked at her twin brother and then smiled "He's too lazy for his own good."

"You can say that again." Her mother said with a giggle

David smiled again before he remembered what he had to tell them "We need to talk." He said, dead serious

Kathrine got up from the couch concerned for her mate, she pulled him into a hug "Baby, whats wrong?"

Angelina looked at her father worriedly, concern filled her golden brown eyes

David pulled back from his mate and took a big breath "As you know we cannot afford to lose any more warriors, so I made an agreement with Alpha Ryan.We agreed that our packs would live in peace if I gave Angelina to him because she's his second chance mate.'

Kathrine and Angelina looked at him in shock

"B-But I'm not his second chance mate.Things like that don't exist!" Angelina said breathlessly, on the verge of tears

I know sweetheart." David said simply

"You're just going to give her to him?" Kathrine said shocked "That's not going to happen!"

"We already made an agreement.Angelina's leaving for the Silver Moon Pack tomorrow." The Alpha said sadly, looking at the ground

Angelina chocked out a sob and ran up the stairs to her bedroom.She shut the door and fell to the ground sobbing.She couldn't believe her father would give her to their enemy, a disgusting old man with anger issues.Her father betrayed her.

Angelina sat there for a couple of hours, on the floor, crying her eyes out and thinking of a way to escape Ryan.Finally, she came up with a plan.She would go with Ryan and stay there for a few weeks.She would act like it doesn't matter to her that he lied to everyone that she's his second chance mate and that he took her away from her home.She would gain his trust and then run away.She would become a rogue but that was better than having to be a fake second chance mate to an crazy old man.The only thing she needed to worry about was not letting him get the chance to mark and mate her while she's there.She'd rather die than be his mate.

"I can't believe what just happened..." Angelina says to her wolf

"Me neither" Rose,her wolf whimpered

"I feel so betrayed." Angelina says quietly

"He is only doing whats best for the pack." Rose said pacing around in my head

"Wanna go for a run?" She asks hopefully, changing the subject

"Yeah." Rose said wagging her tail happily

Angelina got up from the floor and opened her door.She peeked through and once she made sure the coast is clear she headed down the stairs and out of her house.She sighed happily once she shut the front door behind her.Angelina stretched and took of her close before changing into her dark brown wolf that matched her hair color.She ran into the woods and let herself forget about the horrible day she had.Instead she thought about the green grass under her paws and the big dark trees that decorated the area.Angelina listened to the little wild animals scurry away in fear of her attacking them.She listened to the stream that was full of fish nearby.She looked up at the moon and admired its beauty.This was probably the last time she could go for a run in her pack so Angelina was going to make it count.She howled at the moon, thinking about her favorite poem 'Tell me the story about how the sun loved the moon so much, he died every night to let her breathe.' Angelina was always a romantic at heart and like every other werewolf she adored the moon.It was just a werewolf thing I guess.It just calls to them.Angelina howled one last time before running off deep into the woods, burning off all of the frustration and enjoying the beauty of the forest.
