Chapter 6: The Interview

Chapter 6

JACKY'S POV

I was doing an interview, very awkwardly, I might add. I hate interviews, so it's horrible when I have to do them alone because I have to do all the talking. I was also still kind of depressed about Jenn and Ryan getting engaged. Jenn went home which is a little better.

I looked and saw Ryan awkwardly staring at us before making his way over, sitting down next to me.

"Are you crashing our interview now?" The interviewer joked. I wrapped my arm around Ryan and patted his shoulder. My heart started to beat faster with him next to me. He said hi in and weird voice and repositioned himself, causing me to take my arm away.

Ryan wrapped his arm around my shoulder and let it linger as he took over the interview, thankfully. I would look at him and he would look at me, I couldn't help the smile on my face. I would look away and cover my mouth with my hand but would look at him and smile again whenever he would speak.

"One fun fact fans might not know about you?" The interviewer asked.

"That I'm really unintentionally hilarious." Ryan said.

"I think they know that." I said.

"They do know that? Alright, um, I can also play the bass."

"Really? I definitely didn't know that about you." The interviewer said.

"I didn't know that." I said.

"You do know that." He said.

"I do know that." I said.

"Alright, you knew that." He said with a smile. I started talking about how I can't play any other instrument besides guitar and Ryan just laughed.

Ryan answered a few more questions and then looked about me.

"What about you Jack? Huh? Quiet guy." He laughed.

"Yeah, you show up and he just goes silent." The interviewer said. I admitted that I'm bad at interviews and Ryan just rubbed my head. Ryan ended up just leaning back when the interviewer started talking to me about my solo album. The interviewer started asking about me having FIR members on the album and Ryan sat up.

"It took me like fourteen days to track drums."

"No it didn't." I spoke up. 

I started to joke about forgetting lyrics on my solo album and Ryan cracked up. The both of them played along and it was fun. The interviewer asked me a question again and Ryan got a text. He got up and left. I looked and saw it was from Jenn. I started to struggle with talking again and was happy when we finally ended the interview.

I went back to the bus and relaxed until show time.
