A couple of your friends from high school wanted to have a meet up since it had been several years since you had seen them. One of your better friends, Avery, suggested going to a campsite that he attended when he was younger.
Everyone else agreed, but you were rather..hesitant to agree to this, it was just in your nature after some experiences you've had in the past with campsites; However, due to your friends obvious excitement of meeting up again, and you couldn't bring yourself to let them down, you agreed.
Then dates were set, vacations were taken so that nobody got fired from their jobs, everyone packed bags as though they grabbed a handful of clothes and shoved it in their bags. You packed your bathing suit, it being summertime so it was bound to be hot, and Avery had told you about the campsite having this huge lake right in the middle.
You were excited, very excited actually, but you had a sort of anxious feeling in your gut, as though something was going to happen, but you pushed it away, thinking it was just the nerves getting to you about meeting up with your friends after so long away from them.
God were you right to feel anxious.
You got a ride with two of your friends, Avery and Eli. Amongst the three of you, all of you were nature lovers and you didn't want to put bad gases into the air that could harm the environment and the life on Earth's oxygen. You were wearing a white shirt with beige shorts and black sandals that you've had in your closet for forever, your fingers tangling themselves up with the bottom of your tank top. You felt yourself go into a deep train of thought, unable to hear someone trying to get your attention from their seat in the back.
Jumping, you felt a hand land on your leg, being released from your thoughts as you looked to who the hand belonged to. Their nails were painted a light pink and they had many different colored Band-Aids on their arms; they wore a blue t-shirt and black self-cut shorts, along with black boots. This appearance belonged to Eli, the one who offered to sit in the back so you wouldn't be uncomfortable, also so he could lay on the back seats and pretend to be a dead body.
“Welcome back to Earth, did you do okay in space?” Eli asked jokingly, but their face wore a look of concern as you looked at them.
“Yeah, you know me, just overthinking everything.” You gave a small smile to them, in return getting a smile from them. Soon enough, Avery decided to join the conversation, and the three of you chatted up a storm, talking about old memories and what's gone on after high school, events like that.
This continued for maybe an hour before the car had stopped, it was around ten or eleven, hell, maybe even twelve, all you knew was that it was late. You knew you weren't there as you were in the middle of the forest and Avery was cursing under his breath about his piece of shit car.
“Is something wrong? What happened?” You asked your friend, looking over at him as he looked to you.
“The damn engines stopped working, it won't even start up or make a noise.” Avery explained, and at that moment, maybe it was the worst possible thing the car didn't start at that moment. A high pitched scream came from somewhere in the forest and out of nowhere, someone came crashing into the passenger side of the car, the spot where you were.
It was Ashley, you actually dated her back in junior high when you were confused about your sexuality and needed help finding out what you identified as. She had a large chunk of her hip missing, the three of you were able to see her hip bone and you had to convince yourself not to puke in Avery's car, her legs were all scratched up, most likely from running through the lower tree branches, and she had blood running out of both sides of her nose. You were about to get out and help her before seeing her fall to the ground, her body going limp and lifeless. When her body fell, you looked up and out the window, seeing a tall figure, maybe 6 or 7 feet tall, with a heavy-duty blue jacket, black pants and boots, and a hockey mask.
You don't know why but the hockey mask was the one thing that made you afraid the most, seeing a person's face helped identify what kind of person they were, and it was creepy, and mysterious to not see someones face.
“Start the car.” You shakily spoke, eyes wide in fear as tears almost threatened to spill from your eyes at seeing the man come closer, and closer, and closer to the car. When he got close to the car, you where able to see the machete he held in his hand, how he raised it and began hitting the glass with the handle of the weapon.
Thud, you felt your heart begin to pound and you felt your anxiety spike as the person hit the glass.
Thud, you were almost certain you heard a crack in the window as he hit it again, now letting the tears fall out of your eyes as you were defenseless, only being able to watch as the man attempted to force his way into the car.
Thud! The hits against the window became more and more violent as his attempt to get into the car grew more into a likelihood. That was until you heard a door slam shut, you could see Eli with hairspray and a lighter.
“Fuck off, you..you overrated 90's asshole!” You heard him growl, the man went away from the almost shattered window, approaching your friend until he was in distance to get hit by the spray can fire. The car instantly started up, Avery speeding off when the male outside told him to, you looking out your side mirror as you watched the once heroic attempter get lifted off the ground, a loud snap! being heard as yet another one of your friends went limp and dead from this masked murderer.
Avery managed to find another path to the highway, without having to pass the murderer and the dead bodies of your friends. You could only sob as you realized that your other friends might be dead as well, and you were to weak to stop their deaths. The both of you drove off to a gas station, where the gas station attendee called the police among hearing your stories. The authorities came by and picked you and your friend up, questioning the situation before letting you go home.
It was a moment you would remember forever, and you hoped that you never had to experience that ever again. Though, two years later on May 5th, the day you went to Camp Crystal Lake, a news broadcast played about four young adults murdered. One of the people from their group who made it out alive, spoke to the anchorman, telling her
“..My friends were murdered by this hockey masked man, maybe six or seven feet tall, he had a machete.”
You knew you had some unfinished business to attend to and that you had to return to where trauma started and murders ended.
You had a date with a machete wielding, hockey masked man, and he had a date with you and your shotgun wielding badass. He had to pay for murdering your friends, that was a crime that couldn't go unpunished.
You hand grabbed your housephone, dialing a rather familiar number that you've called hundreds of times in the past few years. No one picked up, it was two in the morning so it was understandable, but you still left a voicemail to explain the situation.
“Hey Avery, he's back, I'm not asking you to do anything, but I am telling you that I am doing something. I'll see you after I kick a hockey masked assholes ass, see you later Avery.”
»Oh god, it's 00:26 in the morning and I just wrote a imagine over 1k words. It's not supposed to be this long or take me thirty minutes to do. I actually like this though, instead of having a S/O who is afraid of Slasher the entire time, becoming a shotgun wielding badass! Tell me if any of y'all actually liked this, this was fun. I'll write either Michael Myers, Leatherface, or both later, I'm going to bed. This was unedited, so if there's a mistake I kinda don't really care. ♥♥♥«
»Edit; I came back and fixed some of my grammar mistakes, so it shouldn't be too bad«
