Prologue; New world

 Patch. An island just off from Vale, in house, there was a boy. Y/N Xiao Long. Son of Tayang Xiao Long and brother of Yang Xiao Long. Unlike Yang, he had e/c eyes and h/c hair. He was considered the freak of the family. Beaten to half death almost every day, barely being fed, and used as the Rose and the Xiao Long families' personal slave and punching bag. With Raven gone, Yang and Tai took their frustration out on poor Y/N, until one night:

Y/N's POV

After another round of beating, I was left alone for the night, however I would leave tonight. I had no reason to stay. I scribbled a note, and climbed out of the window. At least they bothered to give me an actual room. It was a small room, but a room nonetheless. So I climbed out from the window, and ran. I petted Zwei, the Corgi of the family, before running away. I was running for who knows how long, when I found a cave. I walked in, and found a pulsating orb of golden light. I crawled under it and let sleep take hold on me.

3rd POV

When Y/N fell asleep the golden orb expanded, engulfed the boy and disappeared along with the boy. Said orb was a universal rift, transporting our protagonist to another world.

Timeskip of 8 hours, still on Renmant:

Tai woke up from a bad dream. It was him losing Summer again, but instead of grimm it was a flaming arrow this time. Tai decided to make breakfast, since he did not trust Y/N with food. Y/N could poison him and the girls after all. Zwei came in, to the smell of breakfast and whimpered.

Tai – What's up Zwei?

Zwei – *Whimpers*

Tai gave Zwei some dog food, and Zwei ate it. Yang walked down the stairs, with Ruby in tow.

Yang – Hi dad. What's for breakfast?

Tai – Scrambled eggs. Can you wake up the waste of space? I need him to set the table.

Yang walked off to Y/N's room. And Tai continued to cook. Suddenly Yang's scream pierced the silence, making Ruby flinch, and Tai drop the spatula. The Rose and the older Xiao Long dashed to Y/N's room to find Yang crying as she looked at a piece of cardboard, which had something scribbled on it.

Tai – What's the matter sweetie?

Yang didn't say a thing, just handed Tai the piece of cardboard. Tai looked at the cardboard and he finally saw the writing Y/N left there.

"To Tai, Ruby and Yang.

If you guys are reading this, I'm probably dead somewhere. Why did you guys hurt me? I only tried to be helpful after Summer left. I don't think I did anything wrong, so why? Doesn't matter now. I'm sorry Summer and mum left, but I can't take this abuse anymore. I've ran away, so I can either live, or die in peace. Also, happy early birthday Ruby. Your gift is behind the box to the left of the door. Hope you like it. Anyways, I'm happy to leave. Have fun without me, and I hope never to see you guys again.

The three people in the room, shed a few tears, and Tai called Qrow for help, but he couldn't find Y/N. Ruby found her gift. It was a red riding hood, which was lightly armored in the back, with dust resistant material. Where Y/N found it would remain a mystery.

With Y/N still 3rd POV

Y/N was in a forest wandering. He had several bleeding cuts, on his torso, because he fought several forest wolves, and escaped barely, after beating them with a stick. Y/N knew that he would soon pass out due to exhaustion and blood loss, so he wanted to find a settlement of some sort in order to not become a snack for monsters. So far Y/N has encountered the forest wolves, slimes and large spiders. The latter two didn't seem to mind Y/N, so he left them alone. Y/N was walking down a dirt road, when blood loss and exhaustion finally got the better of him, and he passed out. A couple of minutes later a demi-human with wolf ears, dirt brown hair and chocolate brown eyes could be see walking down the road. She had a wooden staff with a purple gem on top, and a short sword holstered to her side. She spotted the unconscious boy, and decided to help him. She hoisted the boy on her shoulder, and continued her way home. As she reached the village nearby, she knocked on the blacksmith's door. Soon the door opened and another demi-human with wolf ears could be seen.
