Chapter 3; Mission

Y/N's POV

Another three weeks have passed. I got used to Ruby and Yang trying to apologize for being abusive. Not once has my resolve to not forgive them cracked. In my free time I've trained with viper and my muramasa, or tried to come up with new weapon ideas. One of them was a bow, but with explosive bolts, and a curse charge. Nobody could stand a chance against that. And now I have a ranged weapon. Yang and Ruby would harass me time to time, but otherwise it was a peaceful life. Reina and I were currently sparring. Me with Viper, and she was using her new sword. She would still go for the same old charge attack, and I'd warp out before she could hit me. Then I would use Viper and knock her out of the fight. Lucas was a harder opponent to fight. He observed his opponent, and attacked with precision. A hard opponent to fight indeed. I'd have to mix up my attacks to make them work, or come up with completely new attacks to get through his defense. Right now however I was trying to combine my tier 1 magic to create tier 2 magic. (Like from fire and water comes steam) So far I managed to create gas, (earth and air) shadow flame, (dark and fire) lava (fire and earth).

Announcer – Could team Dragon, team JNPR and team RWBY report to the headmaster? Thank you.

Wonder what the head master wants. Anyways, me, Lucas, Emilia and Reina made our way to the headmaster's office, to see JNPR and RWBY already there. I leaned on a wall and crossed my arm.

Reina – What did you need us for?

Head master – I need you 12 to go on a mission. We lost contact with several villages up north. I want you guys to investigate.

Yang – What's in it for us?

Head master – Extra credit.

Y/N – Sounds good. When will we leave?

Head master – As soon as possible.

And so we were on a mission. I brought Viper with me, and I was on high alert. Ruby and Yang would try to get close to me, but I'd just go to the other side of the road. Reina checked on me from time to time to see if I was okay. As we were closing the first village that contact was lost with, I looked down from a hill to see a terrifying sight. An orc army. Yang and Ruby of course attacked without a plan, So the rest of us had to cover the two idiots. Emilia used an ice storm to freeze a lot of orcs, Reina used light barrage, for damage and Lucas burned them using his fire magic. I shot a few earth spikes but otherwise I observed. Weiss from Ruby's team was playing strategist too, and Blake used her katana to cut down any orcs that got too close. JNPR seemed to do well enough by absolutely destroying the orcs, thanks to the ginger haired girl. The gladiator girl was also very effective slicing up orcs left and right. The boy with black hair with pink-ish streaks shot down a few orcs, and the boy with blonde hair was slashing at them, but not doing much. As time went on, the three teams were getting exhausted, so I used my only tier 3 spell.

Y/N – Guys, get back now!

I used my blast spell decimating the orcs in the vicinity.

Reina – Did you just blow an entire army to ashes?

Y/N – Sure I did. It's fun to blow things up.

Emilia – I'm pretty sure you used all your mana up in that.

Y/N – Nah. I'm still good.

That's when Ruby fell from a tree she's been sniping orcs from.

Ruby – Ohgoshthatspellwasamazing! Youwerelikeyouarealreadydeadandtheorcswerelikewhatandthentheyexplodedwhillewewereintact. Ialsoshouldslowdownbecausetheauthorhasahardtimewritingthisdown.

We were walking back to AA, Ruby and Yang still harassing me and I was starting to get really annoyed. Reina noticed and grabbed my hand in an attempt to calm me down before I attacked my "sisters." After passing a few villages and two large forests, we made it back to AA.
