Megan's POV
"Megan. Wake up it's the day." My favourite nurse Kathryn wakes me up.
"What's happening today." I say trying lean up from my hospital bed. I was using all my power and still no luck.
"Slow down you just had a new tube put in yesterday." Kathryn says to me helping me sit up. "Today is the day your get to make your wish." I suddenly realise that today is the day I get to make my wish. Every child who has been given a short life gets to make one wish.
"When do I get to make my wish." I say happy to Kathryn. She looks straight my eyes as she does my IV change and gives me medicine.
As she leave I look around at the other children in Ward keeping to themselves. Having all very different medicines changed and given new ones. Once visiting hours open up all there friends and family came flooding in to see everyone. I was always left by myself. I am foster care because my mum and dad are in prison. I don't have any family around here so I live in the hospital so they fan monitor me. After I will go to a random foster carer house. I wish I could have a family.
One good part of having a family is that I will get to have treatment like chemotherapy that will get rid of my cancer. To have the treatment you need to have family so they can sign the paperwork and they also have someone they can call in a emergency. Another part would be that I will always have someone by my side during treatment.
I went to go on the TV and watch a sidemen Sunday video as I had nothing to do. These always cheer me up when I am having a bad day. If I miss my family they are there. If treatment is not going very well they are there. They are just a life saver.
Today during visiting hours there was a little different. I had the two people from make a wish here to speak to me about my wish.
"Hello Megan." This really cheerful lady says to me while sitting on the blue chair next to me.
"I'm Karen form make a wish today me and my friend Dave here are going to make your wish come true." She continues is a still as joyful way.
"Have you thought of one." Dave says on me. I have got one thing in mind but I think it might be impossible.
"I wish I could have a family." I say out loud which shocks Karen and Dave so much. They there faces Said it all.
"If that's not possible can I meet the sidemen." I say to then hopeing that this one is easier to achieve.
"We can definitely make the second wish happen." Dave said in a really cheery way that cheered me up so much. They stayed for a bit longer which made me feels so happy as it shows someone wants.
