She looks down at the street,

Watching the people go through the motions of life.

Wondering what they are thinking,

Saying.

From her window she can see everything.

See life for what it is,

What it was,

What it could be,

What it won't be.

She steps up onto the window sill.

Says a final goodbye to all the people she loves,

And jumps.

Falling from 20 stories,

she hears people scream as she falls.

But she just closes her eyes,

and waits for the impact.

I don't know her name,

the story never said,

I do not know her face,

the truth is, she is dead.

A name forgotten,

A face only seen by mother earth,

Fading into the dust.

What is left of her?

What remains of her pain?

She succeeded in her fatal jump.

Only a whispered memory to remain.

She must have willed herself to die,

Her window was very high.

What was her last thought?

Did she smile?

I will never know.

The courage her last jump took.

To deny this life.

To dwell in heavenly silence.
