Chapter 1: Miserable but hopeful

-"Is he dead?

-Probably not. He's just sleeping

-Yo, Rei! Wake up! You have a lot of work to do!

-I bet he'll break his entire body this time!"

The bullies were laughing at him.

-"Where am I ? said Rei.

-At the orphanage, you weirdo! The place where we have lot of fun bullying you!"

Rei stayed quiet. He seems uncomfortable being with these guys.

-"Hey! You'll be fine! said someone.

-Thanks...

-'Cause laying on floor feels like garbage, is like, already a family tradition, right?!"

They were mocking him. Rei stood up and fakes a smile. Suddently, he didn't feel himself when they were punching, kicking, and turtoring the inocent youth...

It was a beautiful day. But scince he's here, it isn't anymore. It was raining Despair. But Rei protected himself with Hope. He was determined, hopeful and patient about the best day of his life. His hopes were unextinguishable. He is extremely rich inside. Let's just not talk about the outside. He likes drawing and writing poems. But the bullies always burn the papers. One day, he drew a girl with a long brown hair and gorgeous eyes. But she had scars everywhere. A rope was hanging around her neck. We can see the pain she's feeling from her brown eyes. She had a weird expression on her face; Melancholy. It was a terrifing scene. Rei wrote a poem under the drawing :

In 2006,

         A girl was fixed

At the age of five,

        She watched a girl from live

She had brown eyes,

         And wearing a skinny size

At the age of ten,

          She started to "pretend"

One day, she looked at the news,

          The girl was so confused

Many people suicided,

          'Cause their hearts were crowded

At the age of eleven,

            Her thoughts were forbidden

She weared long sleeves,

             'Cause all she wants is to leave

At the age of 13,

                She looked like 16

Thoughts are still stuck,

               She thinks that life sucks

She wrote a letter to her parents,

               And her tears were fallen every second

I'm tired of seeing in the mirroir such a maze,

                  Perhaps this world isn't my place

She wrapped the rope around her neck,

                   The mother was disturbed when she checked

The child had no mistake,

                  But no one saved from the self-hate

Everytime she tried to fit in,

               She realized that this world is full of sin

Before she died, she was wearing a smile,

                 And her last words were  "Goodbye".

Rei isn't comfortable showing his true self to people. Because if he throw away his smiling mask, he wouldn't be able to wear it anymore. I wonder how hopeless his future will be. He always waited hours, days, weeks and months. But nobody came to save him. "What's the point of living, then ?" "Why doesn't he end it?" "Why does everybody hate him?"...Perhaps he isn't good enough for them. But still, he is not losing Hope...
