"I heard he doesn't talk to anyone..."

" For real, he never looks anyone in their eyes. Not even teachers."

"He hit a girl once, sent her to the hospital for weeks."

" Are you serious...we'd better stay away from him! Wouldn't want to be his next victim."

" Mom, have you seen my algebra textbook?" Minseo searched the living room for the book.
" Coffee table."
Minseo retrieved the book and shoved it into her backpack. " I'll see you later mom, I have some after school activities so I'll be home late."
" No breakfast?" Her mother asked and she shook her head no in response.
" I'm running late, I'll grab something from the school store." Minseo slipped on her sneakers at the door before stepping out into the hallway of their apartment building. The sound of her steps echoed through the halls as she walked with heavy strides.
Looking at her watch, she picked up her pace being that her ride would arrive any minute.
. . .
"Minseo!" A voice called in the distance. She turned around to see a fellow classmate. " Did you happen to do the homework?" they asked scratching the nape of their neck.

" We didn't have any." She responded with a raise on her brow.

" Yeah...last weeks. On Wednesday."
" I don't know if I still have that." She shrugged her shoulders and continued to walk.

" Please!" the classmate clasped her hands together practically begging.

" You should've done it on your own." Minseo's friend comes up throwing an arm around her shoulder. She receives a glare returning it with a small chuckle.

" I'll give it to you during lunch," Minseo says before walking off with her friend.

" you need to start getting paid for your services. I'm starting to think our classmates just wait until you give them the answers." She chuckles. " Anyways....do you mind lending me that assignment too?" She mumbles making Minseo laugh.

" That'll be $10!"

" Hey!"
. . .
Minseo's POV
There were students spread on either side of the hallway with one lonesome boy walking in the middle. The noise was minimal with whispers and gasps here and there.

" What's going on?" I scanned the behavior of each student. All eyes were glued on the boy.

Suddenly I'm yanked to the side as Yoojung whispers to me. " Thats the new kid! Didn't you read the group chat?"

" Oh that? I left it. Everyone just talks about a whole bunch of nothing." I admit before starting to walk again to only be yanked back again.

" Would you stop that?" I snatch my arm from her grasp.

" That's Lee Byounggon. He's nothing but trouble. He got kicked from his last school for some serious reason."

" And what is that?" I question receiving a shrug. " Then how would you know? Don't believe everything students say " I shook my head and started to walk again.

" Minseo...Minseo!"
. . .
I organized my supplies upon my desk before class began. Jotting down some useful notes I hear the teacher clear their throat.

" This is Lee Byounggon." He states. Once again, everyone had gone super quiet. Scary.
" Would you like to introduce yourself?" Mr. Jung asked.

" ...."

" Okay then, you may take your seat."

Eyes followed the boy as he went to take his seat. He chose the free desk closets to the front of the classroom. Sighs of relief could be heard from those who had no seat partners. Unlike those cliche fan stories, he was on the opposite side of the classroom from me. Still, my thoughts still ponder on the boy. Why did everyone seems so afraid of him? He can't be that bad can he?
