"Its cold..... so cold, I just don't understand....." A FEW WEEKS EARLIER: "Alexis its time for dinner please come down here!" "Coming!" I yelled back, I walked down the stairs slowly, reading my book. "Alexis put your book down." "Hang on mom, just let me finish this page." "No your going to put it down now and eat."

I stopped reading as my dad asked what we did today. He asked my brother Trystin first and he said that he learned how to properly find all the interior angles of a polygon. Then it was my turn, "Well you see dad I learned nothing because all we did was tests which im pretty sure i flunked." "Did you even try?" "Yeeeeaaaah I did." (parents believe everything). Then we just finished eating, saying not a word.

The next morning I woke up late. My bus comes at 7:00 and it was already 8:30. I didnt really care of course, ive never really enjoyed school. Both my parents were still asleep so it looked like id have to walk. I decided to just throw on some shoes and a sweater and go to school in my pajamas. By the time that i got there i had already missed 3 periods and half of 4th.

When I got to history my best friend Aurora had saved me a seat because she knew eventually that id show up. I sat down without the teacher even realizing that i had walked in to the classroom. "Geez, can you at least go one week without being late?'' "Well yeah i could, but where would the fun be in that!? And besides its not like anyone really wants to be here anyways" "True but thats not the point. Im guessing youre going to need to borrow my notes again?" "Its like you know me or something" I smirked at Aurora as she handed me her notes. What else were best friends for.

The rest of the day went pretty smoothly, but I did find out that I just so happen to flunk all of the tests. At least i actually have something to talk about during dinner tonight. Aurora and I walked home and by the time we got there we were super tired due to our house being 20minutes walking time from the school.

Aurora and I got to my house around 3:00. We both went to my room and I looked at the calendar and crossed out Friday. As i quickly scanned later into the next week I realized my birthday was coming up. I was kind of excited but not really, its not like I want to celebrate or anything like that.

"Hey Aurora did you know that its my birthday on Monday? I didn't even realize." "What!? Its your birthday and you didn't even realize, your strange, but i love it." "Aww thanks." "Do you have any homework?" "I have math homework, what about you?" "No I have english homework, but i can help you before I do mine." "That would be great."

We did our homework, Aurora left my house then it was time for dinner. Mom, Dad, Trystin and I all sat down at the table, dinner was mac-n-cheese with green beans. We all started eating in silence, then dad interrupted like usual with the same question that I have heard for about the millionth time.

"What did you do today?" I was surprised because he normally asks Trystin first but today it was me, I was confused but i answered anyways. I told him that i flunked all of the tests, and of course he was upset but i didnt really care so i said that i would just retake them.

That night i stayed up making myself a 'cheat, cheat ' and listened to the Fray until 1am. I was so tired but normally i could do an all nighter but tonight it was diffrent, i just blew it aside and just let it disinagrate in my mind as i was engulfed by my sleep.

Its strange this place, its so dark. Something touched me but i couldnt see what it was, but the touch didnt feel like a human, it felt like a lizard. I looked around seeing nothing at all, it was like i was justin a black box with nothing in it but me and that thing that touched me. I kept looking around and i saw this pair of like glowing eyes, and in the reflection i could see fire and my figure in front of the fire.

I turned around and there was this fire coming towards me. I tried running but the scaly creature was holding me still. He whispered in my ear saying that I know what to do. "No I don't what is wrong with you, let me go!" Then I woke up in my bedroom no one to be seen. I couldn't fall asleep for the rest of the night.
