Ace's POV

I woke up, did my morning routine, and got dressed in a simple outfit of jeans, a T-shirt, and boots.

I grabbed my phone, gun and wallet and left my room placing my gun in the waist of my pants. I saw Cause and some of men in the living room. I grabbed the keys to my Escalade and the guys stood up and we walked out and to the garage.

We got in the Escalade and pulled off getting on the highway. We were driving to IHOP and I sat in the driver's seat driving while the guys were talking and joking.

I was driving when all of a sudden we saw a girl on a motorcycle swerve to miss a puppy that ran out in the road. As she missed the puppy she lost control and the bike started to flip and she was thrown off. I slammed on brakes and we all got out.

I shouted at someone to call 911 as I rushed down the hill to find the girl while the guys dealt with the bike and somebody grabbed the puppy. I saw her on the ground by a tree moving a little and I rushed to her.

I pulled off her helmet and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was her. The girl from the restaurant. It was Abigail. I quickly looked her over and her jeans were ripped a little and she had a deep cut. I pulled off my shirt and placed it on the wound to stop the blood. I saw she had a few other cuts and bruises and I turned her slightly lifting her shirt and I saw a huge bruise on her side. I just sat with her being as gentle as possible.

I don't know why but I felt like I had to protect her. I looked down at her face and I knew. She was the one. She was gonna be mine. I heard sirens in the distance getting closer and closer. After a few minutes I heard shouting and then footsteps approaching us. I saw paramedics and they quickly got to work. They looked her over checking for injuries and placed her on a gurney.

I quickly jumped up and followed them. They put her in the ambulance and I tried to get in but they stopped me. I tried to fight my way past them. I knew you had to be related to the victim so I shouted.

"I'm her boyfriend"!.

They quickly let me in and I got in and grabbed her hand while they hooked her up. She kept going in and out of consciousness and I was praying and hoping that she was gonna be okay. Riding in that ambulance with her reminded me of my past. Seeing her laying there on that gurney reminded me of my mom laying there.

We pulled up to the hospital and got out and we all rushed in. Nurses and doctors hurried over and I tried to go with her but they stopped me at the double doors. I put my arms over my head and I just sighed. I threw my hands up and turned around.

I walked to the waiting room and sat down. I looked up as I heard the doors open and saw the guys come rushing in. They looked at me as I had tears in my eyes and I guess they realized that she was the one as they had shocked looks on their faces. They all gathered around me and just patted me on the back. They all sat around me talking while I sat quietly looking out the window. Just thinking.

'I've finally found her and she might not even make it'.

I put my head in my hands and just prayed that she pulled through. I wanted to officially meet her, get to know her, claim her as my own. I want her, I need her.
