Today. Today was the day we were getting out. Finally. After years of living in the White Place, an illegal place that does experiments on humans, today was the day we were breaking out. We? Me, Ash, and Alex, my little brother. We have been living in the White Place for 2 years, being experimented on and tortured and i couldn't have Alex living like this. I have tried many times to escape, but they end up in me getting beaten and whipped for punishment. I saw what they would do to other experiments who resisted by fighting and well, lets just say they're in a better place now. I still resist and I do sometimes fight to resist, but we are too important to be killed. But today, in a matter of hours, we would being running out of this cesspool of evil and we would be on our way to freedom!

I heard a light click clack and my heart froze. Even when being shackled to a wall in a cellar, you can hear things from a mile away in the silence of a basement. I got louder, and louder, and louder, until it was right outside my door. There was only the dim lighting of the hallway, so anyone who didnt have freakish eyesight probably wouldn't be able to see the women standing in the doorway. But I have been living in a dark cellar for 2 years, and I have adapted to the darkness of my cell.

A women with olive skin, dark brown hair, and piercing blue eyes unlocked the door to my prison cell. I tensed as she walked over to my shackles and took out a metal key. She unlocked my cuffs and I rubbed my sore wrists.

"What now?" I asked miserably, knowing I was going to be experimented on. She looked at me with eyes that were full of pity. She pities me?! Why would that mean, tormenting scum feel pity for an experiment like me?

"We are going to make a few scissions, but you will be fine" she reassured me. Scissions? Oh boy.

"Will you be putting me asleep?" I asked hopefully, praying that they would give my some pills. She looked at me sadly and took my arm, leading me away to a white lab. I tried to pull away, but her grip only tighten. She sat me down in a chair and strapped me to the chair. She strapped down my wrists, stomach, neck, feet, arms, and hands. She took out a cutting knife and a blood extractor. When she saw my sickened expression, she looked at me with pity.

"It's okay, we will just look at your blood to see what changes might have been made. It won't hurt a bit and we promise to give it back" she said, smiling slightly at me. Of course she's smiling, she is about to extract blood from the Number 1 experiment in the White Place. I writhed in pain as she cut my wrist and stuck a cord inside. I gritted my teeth to keep from crying and screaming. She extracted blood and took the cord out. She wrapped a bandage around my wrist and patted it lightly.

"There, all done" she said happily, taking the blood and putting it on the counter. 2 guys came in and unstrapped me, but led me to a table. They were buff, but I knew that they were buff because of my record for fighting people who led me to examination tables. I struggled against them, but I mistakenly underestimated myself and fought. Slowly, they overpowered me and strapped me down. They left and were replaced by 2 women who unbuttoned my white hospital dress. They covered my chest with some paper and then did I know they were going to cut open my stomach. I sat there for an hour or so, endearing the pain of my stomach being cut open, examined, and bandaged. They never put in stitches, for some reason. Less pain for me, but I would suffer the pain for weeks, I'm sure.

I was strapped down to the chair again and my blood returned to me. I was put back into my cell and shackled. I groaned at the pain on my wrist and stomach. I saw my brother on the other side of the hallway crawling up to me as far as his shackles would let him.

"What did they do?" he whispered, a feared expression on his face. My heart split in half as he looked at me intently.

"Nothing major, just a blood check-up" I said, lying straight through my teeth. He looked like he didn't believe me, but he knew he would never get an answer out of me, so he didn't question further.

"You ready?" I asked, looking around for the bobby pin I stole from that lady from before. He nodded, and I found it in the darkness. I swiftly unlocked my shackles and quietly crept towards my door. I unlocked it and looked at out the cell. As expected, no one was checking on the other experiments. I looked at my brother, who was already unlocked and out of his cell.

"Okay, lets do this" I whispered, smiling mischievously. We went to every cell and unlocked every shackle of every hand. Once we had a big mob of experiments we smiled and high fived. We looked around and saw our exit. A small exit door that was pad-locked. I ran to it and unlocked it. We ushered the kids into the bright light outside. One girl a little younger than me stopped  and tugged on my dress.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked quietly. I smiled.

"Kids don't deserve to live like this" i said, and I ushered out the last of the kids. Alex was in the front and he led everyone to the road up ahead. I took one last look at the White Place and thought happily, see ya, place of nightmares. And with that, we ran off.
