MOM? DAD?

a young girl called out for her parents. whom
were silently enjoying each other's company and warmth in the living room.

"yes dear?" the soft voice of her mother cooed. looking over her husband's shoulder to glance at her daughter. but to her horror, instead of her usually sparkling (e/c) eyes, she saw bright red orbs staring back hers.

"y/n!" she pulled herself out of her husband's
tight grasp. making him look as well. "wh- what's happening?!" she asked both her husband, who was approaching the two, and y/n, who was on the verge of tears.

"i-i don't k-know..." she muttered, tears streaming down her rosy cheeks. her mother's eyes softened at the sight of her daughter.

"is it her quirk perhaps?" her husband asked, as he inspected y/n's red eyes. "now that you mention it, it might be." y/n was already 4 years old, which was when every kid would get their own quirk. a sort of power, that is blessed onto them.

though some are unfortunate, not having any quirks at all. these people are called as, "quirkless".

y/n looked up to her parents ever since she could remember. they were heroes, one of the high-ranked ones.

their hero names reflected their quirks, "frostbite" and "yin". her mother's quirk, frost, allowed her to frost anything she touches, and her eyes turn a shade of cerulean blue when the quirk is activated. then her father's, was yin and yang, being able to control both life and death, light and dark. though he
never really used 'yang' in fear of hurting
someone.

"w-who is t-that?" y/n stuttered out, as she slowly peeked behind her father's figure. "hm?" the couple both looked at where y/n was gazing at. though they saw nothing.

"y/n? what do you mean? do you see something?" their daughter nodded, fear was present in her eyes.

in her perspective, she saw two figures standing behind her parents. she shivered in fear. the figures noticed and faced her.

"little one..." the first figure, which she assumed was a male spoke. "you can see us?"

scared and confused at the same time, she nodded, pursing her lips. her parents tried to speak with her, but she gave out no answer.

"you have a cool quirk!" the other exclaimed, which was a female. "nice to meet you, my name is leila! this is leo!!" she smiled softly at y/n.

"mm." 'leo' hummed. "anyways, looks like we're gonna be helping her with her quirk, i guess..." leo scratched his neck nervously.

now y/n felt relieved. she felt relieved that it was only her quirk. but... something else unfortunately happened.

another two figures came over, this time they had a dark aura. like it was upset or something.

"you two!! what are you doing here?!" the two figures were males, the first one exclaimed, as he talked to leo and leila.

"this kid has the 'ghost' quirk and we must help her!" leo explained to the two, whilst leila had came over to y/n's side, patting
her head affectionately.

"no!! you both know the rules! we are to nit come in contact with these foul creatures!!" the second dark figure exclaimed. "they deserve punishment!"

the two figures moved to her parents, engulfing them in dark smoke.

"no! please, stop!! she's too young!" leila tried to pry off the two figures from y/n's parents, but failed.

leila and leo protectively hovered above y/n.
covering her parents from her sight. though she caught a glimpse of what was happening...

her parents collapsing onto the floor.

eyes dull...

no sign of life in them anymore.

"m-mama? p-papa!!" she reached out for them, but the two prevented her from doing so.

"don't worry little one..." their voices sounded blurry to her.

"we will surely protect you..."

their voices sounded distant, as another one called out to her loudly.

"Y/N!!"

she jolted up instantly. panting and breathing heavily. she noticed she was sweating profusely.

she gazed at the sight of her father in front of her, whom had bags under his eyes and a worried look on his face.

"d-dad?" she stammered out, her father sighed in relief.

"it was just another nightmare, thank goodness." her dad tucked a strand of her hair onto her ear. "now get ready, we're going to train again." then left her bedroom.

she had been getting nightmares ever since that day occurred. the memories of her parents collapsing onto the wooden floor couldn't get out of her mind.

but luckily she had her 'ghost'
friends to talk to.

she activated her quirk, her eyes glowing bright red once more.

"leo? leila?... mom? dad?" she called out in her mind. she had figured out how to master her quirk when her godfather had took her in. he was a pro hero as well, taking on the name "eraserhead".

the four ghosts appeared in front of her.
they were all happily smiling at y/n.

"goodmorning y/n!" leila cheerfully exclaimed. "do you need anything?"

y/n shook her head, as a 'no'. "i just wanted to say that we're gonna train again."

"oh... are you going to need our quirks again?" leo looked at her, expectedly. recently y/n had also figured out that her ghosts could possess her like her parents were back then, but not to the point that she was gonna get killed.

she could still keep control of her surroundings, but she could use the ghost's quirk. if they have one of course.

"probabaly..." she glanced to them. her parents specifically. "i have to go now, see you guys later."

"of course, dear."

"see ya later kiddo!"

the voice of her parents sounded. she then deactivated her quirk.

the figures of her friends disappeared. though she knew that they would always be
beside her... always.
