A New Friend

Mika's POV

Blood!

Blood!

Blood!

I need blood!

That was all my mind was thinking. I was thirsty and I couldn't deny it. Ten days had passed, and I had ran out of the blood Krul gave me. It was long overdue since I last drank. The pain was killing me.

I slowly and painfully trudged through the damaged streets of the Vampire World, trying not to let any vampire or human see me in this state.

I slouched over as I used the the walls and buildings to support my weight. I coughed, covering my mouth as blood spat out. I fell onto the floor as even more blood came out of my mouth. The pain was unbearable.

That was when a girl walked by not noticing me. I snapped my head up and as fast as lightning, lunged onto her and tackled her onto the ground, biting her.

She grunted quietly as I desperately sucked for blood to quench my thirst.

After a while, I regained my senses and pulled back immediately. Crawling up, I stood up and turned away from the girl as I wiped my mouth.

When I turned back, surprisingly the girl wasn't gone. She just stood there staring at me.

"Vampires need blood right? You can drink my blood. As much as you need." She smiled.

I looked at her stunned from her reaction. Most people would run away while they can but this girl didn't. I was confused.

"Mama told me that we have to be kind to everyone even those who are not like us." She said innocently.

She looked like she was already fourteen yet she acted like she was still a child. I wonder why.

"Why aren't you scared of me?" I asked, tilting my head slightly and crouching down to match her height.

"It's cos... Well you seem like a nice guy." She cheerfully smiled.

"Hey," I sweetly smiled at her. "Wanna be my friend?"

She nodded excitedly and reached out her hand like she wanted me to take it.

I took her hand and led her to my favourite spot.
