Chapter 1 -A New Beginning

Whoever is trying to bring you down is already below you. So better leave it that way." Dad said so whenever I denied going to school. The word 'School" has always terrorized me. Going to school was a headache since I only had these so called "Friends" who bullied me a lot.

I even quit school because I didn't had the guts to bear the pain. Home school was my only choice back then. But now, I have to join high school and I don't think I am as scared as I used to be. I learned to live, fight and survive. I feel stronger than ever now.

"Hey sweet heart, you have arranged everything for your first day right?"

"Yeah dad. This is the tenth time you've asked me" I replied him being exhausted.

"That's because I'm concerned about you my sweet heart!! And don't fight with anyone alright?"

"Dad, I don't believe you are saying so... You were the one who taught me how to fight!!" I said.

"I don't want you to create a scene like the last time. Now do you understand?"

"Yes Dad. I understood." *Still exhausted*

"That's my princess!! Now give me a hug"

We both hugged each other.

"Dad, I am gonna miss you. Do you really have to leave?"

"Yes, you know it was your mother's aspiration to see me becoming a successful scientist"

"But you already are... a successful scientist."
"I know sweetie. But I still need to work on a new project." He replied.

"Alright..."

I was still sad that he was going to leave me again to work on a new project. He reached out for the door knob. As soon as I saw it, everything I had been holding on, fell back upon me and I couldn't stop my tears.

Dad saw me crying. He then wiped my tears and said...

"Don't cry my little princess. It's your first day and you don't want to go in looking like a cry baby."
I took a deep breath in and calmed down.

"Dad, I am so sorry that I can't go to the airport with you. Anna will be here any minute now. Besides, she's the only friend that I know."
"I know sweetie. That's all right. I should leave now."

"Goodbye dad, I love you" I said in a whisper.
"Love you more" he replied smiling and left.
Anna arrived in her car after a minute. I left the house and locked the front doors. She was waiting for me as I opened up the car and put on my seatbelts.

"Hey, what's up with your face?" Anna gave an awful look.

"What happened Anna? Is something wrong?"
She flashed her million-dollar smile at me and said, "You look beautiful dear, besides your red eyes!"
"Is it noticeable Anna?" I smirk.

"Of course it is. Are you crying because you don't want to go to high school like you did when we were at school?" she asked.

She drove her car while I was speechless...
"Listen, I am here for you and you don't have to cry like a baby. It's just 2 years, not forever." Anna convinced me as she drove around the corner.

"I know, Anna. I hate to admit it, but I don't know how to cook or pay taxes and I certainly don't know how to live without my dad. And the worst thing is that, today he left me and I couldn't even go to the airport with him."

"It's okay baby. Your friend is here to take care of everything. You know, I even promise your dad that I will take good care of you..." Anna helped me to calm down.

"Thank you so much Anna. Without you, I would have lost hope a long time ago."

"Zees babe, get over with the drama already!" We both laughed at each other.

Anna leans forward and whispers "Hey, couldn't you find something else to wear? I mean, besides this hoodie? Come on, you are a new girl this year and you should've worn something sexy, darling..."

I frown at her and roll my eyes away "Anna, I am fine like this and you know that I don't like to drag such an unnecessary attention. I just choose to be comfortable..."

She smirks, looking forward at the road ahead,

"Fine! As your wish..." she said.

And like my dad, she started explaining all the rules and regulations, about teachers, students and colleagues. Then she finally announces, "Welcome to Paradise High School!!!"

I looked towards the colony with many buildings that also had a big play ground and gardens with artificial waterfalls. It was a paradise indeed.

"Oh Fuck!" I heard Anna muttering.

"What is it Anna?" I asked nervously.

"I forgot my pass card. The guards won't let me in without it. How can I be so careless??" She exclaimed.

"What should we do now? How could you forget such an important thing? You rather remember to dress sexy instead."

"God!!  You should go and search for your classroom or you'll be late. I'll head back home to get my pass card."

"I will come with you!" I insisted.

"No, I don't want a newbie to be late on her first day. Go now, I'll catch up. And one last thing, don't let anybody know about your secret."

"I won't and for Christ's sake stop calling me that" I said as I got off her car.

"HAH! Do you think I'll do whatever you tell me? Gotta go, Bye!" She flashed her quick smile and disappeared...

While I was alone, in a new high-school, which felt troublesome...
