Years of goodbyes

Prologue

Jen's POV

I saunter into Pierdale Uni with my best friends on either side, Clove on the right and with Hailey on the left. It's like our own walking arrangement. Striding into a hefty crowd makes me realise that wasn't even going to be here. My cousin had convinced me and my parents to come here instead of New York.

We go to the front desk and ask for our timetables. After taking those we go to the hallway where our lockers are to take my stuff to bio. I have all my classes with my friends except biology when Clove has dance and Hailey has sport. If you haven't realised I am not a sports person, I love books. We all meet at Clove's locker and walk to our different classes.

While walking a person bumps into my shoulder and I look up to see a girl with her face caked up with makeup. "Watch where you're going nerd" she snares. Well, I guess the first person I met in this school is the queen bitch herself.

"Why, can't you see to move your self, or does the makeup cover your eyes as well." Clove spat back.

Hailey and I look at each other. I mouth, "This is bad, did she take her pills."

"I don't think so," Hailey mouths back.

"Well fuck." We both mutter looking back to see Clove lunging at the girl's throat. Hailey and I both jump into action to pull Clove back. She tries to break free but gives up, knowing we aren't going to let go.

"Aww, does the newbie have anger issues, such a pity," she says in a baby voice while turning to her minions behind her. They all giggle.

"Watch it!" Hailey yells.

"Or what?" the girl spat back.

"Or you'll be messing with us, Britney." Someone yells from behind us. I turn around to see Jason, my cousin, and 3 boys next to him. Jason in the middle with one on his left ad 2 on his right. Jason with his army green hoodie and black jeans. The guy on his left is a chisel brown hair dude with a black leather jacket with ripped jeans. The guy right on his left has messy blonde hair and black attire. The guy on the extreme left has hazel brown hair and a turtle neck blue shirt with navy jeans.

Britney has the fakest smile I have seen and says, "Jason, I didn't see you there I was just talking to the newbies and helping them get to their first class."

"Break it up Britney, we saw what you did." A chisel brown hair sexy dude speaks up.

"Wow so your not going to say anything to this maniac who was going to kill me," Britney says with a disgusted look gaping at Clove, who we had let go of by now.

"Hey watch it, bitch," Hailey speaks up. Britney just rolls her eyes and walks off with her minions following her, cause the boys make her leave with their annoyed expression.

"Hey, Jen you okay," Jason asks, just as the bell rings for the first period. 'Saved by the bell'

"Yeah, hey Jason I'm good I'll catch you later," walking off hurriedly with my head hung low, before I ruin his reputation in front of the whole school with me not such an expert in social skills. Clove and Hailey hurry and walk next to me. Thank god he doesn't try to stop me probably because the bell went but whatever.

"Why did you walk off so quickly," Hailey asks.

"I didn't want to embarrass him," I state. I look up to see both of them rolling their eyes but leave it there. We reach the hall entrance and we say our goodbyes while I walk to the bio class a hallway way from the hall.

I enter to see everyone settling down and thankfully the teacher isn't here yet, which means I'm not late. YAY ME. I walk to the centre of the class where there are two seats left and sit down. I look around to see everyone looking at me. Probably because of the incident in the hallway I know news travels fast but it looks like it travels faster than light. Great! Note the sarcasm.
