Chapter 1: The Sander Sides

Thomas had just gotten up and had his breakfast. He was looking forward to a relaxing day. Watching the Office, or maybe Steven Universe. Make a short video or two. Just a normal weekend. That's all he wanted.

Was that so much to ask?

"Yes, yes it is."

"Virgil, hey buddy......what's going on?" Thomas asked, slightly nervous why is anxiety just decided to manifest all of the sudden.

"What I can't just pop up to say hi?" Virgil smirked and Thomas got defensive.

"Well yes you can, just I was just thinking about having a normal day, and you showed up.....that leads me to believe I'm anxious about something. So what's up?" Thomas asked when suddenly someone popped up.

"Actually, I'm thinking something else is going on kiddo, there's something......different about today." Patton explained and Thomas waved to his morality.

"Okay, but what is so different? I did my usual routine, heck the day hasn't really been going in that long, it's still morning." Thomas pointed.

"While that is true for you, that is only relevant in this time zone." Logan commented.

"Hey Logan, great, can you tell me what is going on and why today feels so different?" Thomas asked.

"Hmmm well your routine did not see too out of the ordinary, but I have this, who do I put this....nagging feeling about today." Logan said thoughtfully.

"Maybe nothing is going on, we should just ignore it." A sly voice commented and Virgil hissed like a angry kitten at the sight of a certain Dark Side.

"Hey Janus! What a nice surprise!" Patton waved.

"Patton, you know I love how nice you are, but WHY!?" Virgil growled and gestured to Janus.

"Aw come on Virgil, sure Janus made an.......interesting first impression, but he's still a side, and is important to who Thomas is. We should all try and get along." Patton urged.

"Yes, because Virgil is SUCH a people person." Janus smirked.

"I wonder what he does to those people?" Another voice popped up and it was followed by a groan and another figure coming up.

"Sorry everyone, he has been in my room for two hours! I have no idea what he wants!" Roman huffed crossing his arms.

"Ah come on, we were having fun! Discussing the many ways to....."

"And I'm just gonna interrupt by asking if you guys feel like something is off today?" Thomas questioned, hopeful that he can avoid what ever Remus was thinking.

"Hmmm, now that you mention it, there is something amiss in the air." Roman pondered and Remus just snickered, pulling out his deodorant before taking a bite out out of it.

"Great, everyone but me feels like something is off, and no one can tell me what it is!" Thomas groaned and ran his hand through his hair.

"Sorry kiddo, it's just really hard to explain. I've never felt this way, it doesn't seem bad, just different." Patton explained.

"It's definitely something we can't ignore, but trying to investigate it may lead to even more frustration. So what should we talk about in the mean time?" Logan asked.

"Do THEY have to be here?" Virgil asked, pointing at Janus and Remus.

"Well...........I mean even if they aren't here physically they'll be here in some form." Thomas replied.
