Jasper watched Nesrin sleep as he wiped the blood from his mouth in a panic. "What have I done?" He whispered. He stood and backed away from her, his body quivering. He looked at his hands. Drops of the sweet red nectar still stained is hands. Her body laid still and pail. Could she be dead? He forced himself to move forward to her side one more. He placed his finger tips on her neck to feel a pulse. He waited each second seeming longer without feeling anything. "No no no no no please. Nesrin please don't be gone please. I beg you!" He pulled her freezing body into his arms. He once again placed his finger tips on her neck. "Please!" He begged. Suddenly a faint beat. He smiled widely and excitedly kissed her head and rocked her back and forth like a sleeping child. He covered the wound on her neck with more bandages and pulled the blanket over her body. The clock said it was now one in the morning. Jasper knew his family had already left for their feeding. They would be back soon. He knew he had to move fast. He disrobed and made his way to the bathroom. He had to wash out the smell of her blood or his family would know of his crime. He ran a hot bath and used half a tube of tooth paste and lots of mouthwash to cover his sin. He scrubbed the blood from his skin with an ungodly amount of soap. There was no time to waste. He knew with each passing second his family would soon be home.
Nesrin slowly opened her eyes. Under the bathroom door light eliminated the room enough to know Jasper was gone. She winced as she sat up again. "Jasp-" she whispered but stopped herself. Memories came flooding back to her. She felt her neck. Chills ran down her spine as her finger tips grazed over the new bandages. Could this be real? This was crazy. "Vampires! They are vampires!" she said in panic. She looked around for anything to use to escape. She clinched to the bed frame as she made her body move towards the wardrobe. She opened it to find anything but was left unsatisfied at the sight of its emptiness. Crawling on the floor she made her way to the door but stopped. "They could be out there waiting for me." She said under her breath. A feeling of hopelessness washed over her just as the bathroom door opened.
"You're awake!" He shouted happily. She looked back at him her heart suddenly beating out of her chest as he picked her up again and held her in his arms. "I'm so glad you're okay." He said placing her on the bed. "Get away from me!" She shouted pushing him off of her weakly. She squirmed to get away. "Please Nesrin you need to understand it was an accident. I was foolish not to leave before but I wanted to make sure you were alright. I swear I couldn't help myself." He gripped her arms. "I know that doesn't make it better but I'm sorry." She stopped struggling. "Are all of you....?" He nodded confirming. "We are."
"What about me? Why am I here?" She asked accusingly. "My father found me with you all those years ago and decided to make you a bride for one of us." He said still holding onto her. "I'm sorry this is all just to much." She said turning away. "I assure you it will feel normal soon enough." He said sitting down on the edge of the bed. At that moment she realized his lack of clothes. "Oh god!" She said covering her blood red face. "Why the hell are you naked?!" She shouted. As if he had forgotten he looked down. "Oh dear I am so sorry! I was bathing and forgot! I've made myself out to be a fool tonight!" He rushed back into the bathroom and used the robe on the rack. "I'm sorry for all the troubles I've caused you. If you want me to I will leave but I feel I should be taking care of you since I'm the reason for your pain." She looked down at the bed. Her body still ached. "Y-you can stay if you want to take care of me." He smiled sheepishly. "But please put on some clothes." She added. "Yes of course. Be back soon." He said leavening the room.
She laid back on the bed with thoughts congregating in her head. What had she gotten into? Is any of the mess real? How is it possible? She suddenly opened her eyes as she thought of a new horrifying question. Would she become a vampire after she was married? She didn't know if she wanted that answered or not. She looked to the clock. One fifty seven in the morning. It was so late. Her head pounded at the thought of sleep. However she did feel hungry. She hadn't eaten at all that day. She thought about pressing the button at the side table but surely all the house workers would already have left.
