The sorcerer's private bathroom was gorgeous. Seriously stunning, and Tony was used to splendor. He looked around him at the softly burning candles set into wall sconces all around, the dark burgundy walls, the gold-colored marble floor, the deep claw-footed bath tub under the window and the separate shower alcove against another wall. It was granite, gray stones and three showerheads on three sides, and a sliding screen for privacy. He left it partly open just in case, then turned on all three showerheads to get the water heated up. There was a hamper nearby, which Tony promptly tossed his wet clothes into when he'd peeled them off his chilly body. God, he was freezing. The rain had done a number on him. Gooseflesh covered his arms and back and even his legs. But the water would soon remedy that.
He stepped into the shower when steam began to rise, naked and grateful for the heat. Closing his eyes, he tilted his head back and let the water run down his body, bringing the temperature back to normal.
Would Strange be joining him? He had no idea. There was hope, sure. But not certainty. Maybe the man wasn't ready for this yet, in which case Tony would be graceful about it. He wouldn't act sullen and pouty. That wasn't his style. He'd fight for Pepper, try to gain her back somehow, and move on with his life. But he'd always be thinking of the Sorcerer Supreme in the back of his mind. He didn't have a choice. His heart made that decision for him five years ago.
He'd just soaped up completely when the door to the bathroom opened, then closed again. A moment later, the screen was drawn back, and Stephen slipped in. Tony didn't want to scare him off. He kept his eyes shut, humming, washing his hair as though he didn't have a care in the world. But his heart raced. Holy shit, he'd actually joined him. He was here.
There was the sound of splashing as Stephen warmed himself under the spray of another showerhead. Still, Tony didn't turn around. Only when there was stillness did he dare. And what he saw made him catch his breath. Stephen stood under the falling water, eyes closed, running his hands through his black and silver hair. Everything gloriously on display. His body was perfect. Lean and muscular, extremely well endowed, long legs and exceptionally sculped abs. Not since Tony looked in the mirror that morning had he seen such physical magnificence. He approached, slowly. Standing right in front of the wizard as he opened his eyes and looked down. Iridescent green meeting soft brown. True to his word, Tony didn't say a thing. Neither did Stephen. The man looked calmer now. And damn, did he ever look amazing when wet.
Tony put a hand on his cheek and pulled him a little closer. There was resistance at first, but then Stephen allowed himself to be drawn down slightly. And they were kissing again. Not the raw savage power struggle on the roof. No, this was different. This was tender, sensual. Whatever internal battle Stephen had been fighting to assert his dead-set heterosexuality, he'd come to terms with a new normal. He rested his scarred hands on Tony's waist, and when their lips parted he spoke softly to him.
"I really don't know what to do. How this....happens. I've only ever been with women, and that was quite some time ago as you know."
"Want me to get Holly in here to make you more comfortable?"
"For the love of God, don't you dare. That poor girl is innocent. I'm keeping her away from you."
"Relax, I was teasing. Look, it's kind of the same thing, ok? We touch one another. We kiss. We take this party to bed when you're ready. Then we just let things happen."
"But how do we decide who...."
Tony grinned, boldly reaching down to touch Stephen in a place that made him jump slightly and back up against the slick stone wall.
"We decide at the last minute. Take turns. I don't know. Whatever you can handle. I'll do my best not to scare you."
"I am afraid of nothing, Stark."
