I have been sheltered and homeschooled almost all my life because of my social anxiety and isolation issues, plus the fact that we move around a lot doesn't help either. We had finally found a place to settle down and call home. This is when the problems started.

That year in 7th grade I realized how bad i had became and how far my mind had brought me. It was the day they called my parents that everything changed

They found out about my feelings and the problems I was facing making friends at school. They were told of how skipped lunch and his in bathrooms just to be away from any kind of social interaction. They had took me home and we had a long talk that day. From then on I had been given the chance to heal and was able to slowly cope and come out of my shell.

With the help of my sister Anna I've improved and I'm ready to face the world as a new and better me.

I look to the mirror and think aloud "Today was the day I would finally see my progress!"

I try to dress according to the weather report, I don't want to come off as weird or be the only person wearing a dress, but today I actually think I look nice. Its just a simple white dress that ends right below the knees and an old silver necklace. The only thing I wear that could be considered make up is a nice peachy colored lipstick that goes well with my peachy brown sandals.

"Anna I'm ready let's go before mom calls us!"

- After arriving -

I lean in to give my mom a small hug. She pats my head and says "if anything and I mean anything goes wrong I'm only a phone call away okay?"

"I know mom, love you" Anna is excitedly waiting for me to come along with her " come ooon~ mom no need to worry i got her back, now lets hurry before the hallways get filled.

As we walked in I could feel my heart beating and I became aware of my presence and how I moved, how I walked, how I was perceived. With a quiet sigh I say "okay let's do this, the worse has yet to happen" I breath out slowly as we continue walking....
