Chapter 1; the first scene

"May I announce, the next Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham!, yelled Mary, Sarah's maid of honor, and best friend who was engaged with Rhett, Max's brother.

Max is the man Sarah was going to Marry the week after.
The rest of the people began to clap as Max and Sarah walked onto the platform to recite their prepared speeches.

Sarah whispered into Max's ear and told him that she wanted to recite her speech first. She got on the block to speak into the mic and pulled out a peice of paper from her pocket.

"Hi", she nervously said. "Thank you to all the people who came to this bridal shower.

It's an honor. First of all, I would love to congratulate Mary and Rhett!", the crowd started clapping and "Wooh!"- ing at the couple as Sarah gestured an open palm to where Mary and Rhett were sitting.

Sarah started clapping herself.

"This journey has been an amazing ride for me. And I thank my parents for raising me to be the woman the I am today".

Everyone started clapping. "I also have a very big announcement."

She looked around and saw the look on Rhett's face. She had never seen it before. Coming from her future brother in law, she paid no attention and thought it was a normal thing. She just focused on saying the rest of her speech.

"I.. am, at the moment, carrying our first child", Sarah cried a few tears and heard a huge expression from the crowd. "This is month number one of the next Cunningham generation".

Everyone was shocked and many of her close relatives cried a few tears of joy as well. Mary started clapping, and so did everyone else. She raised a toast to Sarah and cried.
Sarah blew her a kiss

Then, it was Max's turn to say his speech.
"Hello, folks. Thank you, to those who paid a lot of support to Sarah and I's wedding.

To Rhett, bro. You're such a supportive younger brother, aaaand You kept me company all these years.", Rhett greeted a small wave, then looked straight back at Sarah with that face again.

Sarah started to get nervous. "To Mom, for being the absolute best. You raised us perfectly. Love you.", Max continued. "And to Sarah. The very amazing woman to have entered my life. I love you.", Max ended, everyone clapping after. They continued the party with many other activities.
