Loosing Myself

"Finally,I can do magic freely"

"Ok Allie, put the sleeping bags over there"

"Dan you've said that 3 times already"

Allie looked at Dan like he was crazy.

"Oh yeah sorry I'm just excited" he said.

"I know you are, but that isn't a good excuse for going insane and we don't need sleeping bags, remember?"

It was a a reasonably sized wooden house that they were going to live in. They wouldn't have to worry about food because they practically bought the whole grocery store with Allies inheritance.

"Yeah your probably right"

They spent the next couple hours setting everything up. They used extension cords to get power from a nearby abandoned gas station.They had no idea why the gas station was in the middle of the forest but they used it to their advantage.The heater was in the corner, The food was in Allies Gucci bag in the other corner, and the TV up against the wall. Allie thought that they needed furniture so she walked to a nearby Walmart and bought 3 inflatable mattresses along with a air pump. They were currently sitting on a mattress that they positioned in front of TV but, the TV was not on.

"Allie let's go outside.We could start a campfire"

"But Dan we have a house with a heater. Why the heck would we need to go outside and waste our time starting a fire?"

"Because one, we are in the woods so we might as well get used to sitting outside just in case something happens to the house and two, we should practice our wilderness skills. Come on, it'll be fun!"

"Fine"

They walked outside and sat around a pile of sticks Dan had gathered.

"You wanna do it or...?" Dan asked

"Yeah, I'll do it, your ways too dangerous."

Allie pointed her finger at the sticks and a spark emitted from it and landed in the pile of sticks, causing a fire to start growing.

"Finally, I can do magic freely"

" Yeah and we can finally get better at it" Dan said looking down at his hands.

"You mean me right?" Said Allie "I can only send sparks to start fires not throw fire like grandpa could. You can throw water already."

"There's a difference."said Dan."Throwing water is one of the simplest things you can do if you can do magic, besides I can't fully create lightning"

"I kinda have gotten the hang on snow though" said Allie

"You can create snowflakes not snowballs or avalanches " said Dan, snorting.

"Hey I'm still advancing!" said Allie, throwing her hands up.

So they spent some more time by the fire until it got a little to late.

"We should get inside" said Dan. "Get up early for tomorrow".

"What's tomorrow?" Allie asked with a perplexed face. 

"I don't know that's what people say when they do something exciting in movies and they have to go to bed" he answered

They both laughed

"Okay snow or water" asked Allie

Dan waved his hand and a splash of water put the fire out.

"Hey, what was that for?" Allie said, throwing her hands up.

"Your snowflakes wouldn't have done anything" said Dan with an idiotic smile on his face.

They both laughed and headed inside

Once they were on their separate mattresses facing away from each other, Allie spoke.

"Dan?"

"Yeah Allie?"

"Why did you tell me to bring water when you have the ability to create it with a wave of your own hand?"

"Because I can only create water if I have some of it in me" Dan answered with a yawn.

"Oh. No wonder your so skinny"

"Yeah, now shush. Let me sleep"

"Night, Dan"
