Making friends was never your forte, nor was being able to keep people around.Your mother left her father due to abuse and you were only eight at the time. You had been homeschooled since age 4, but when your mother left him she decided to change that.

You had lived in America your whole life and had never been out of state or country, yet you already fluent in several different languages, courtesy of your father, which surprised most teachers. They soon learned you were ahead of your grade level in most classes by several years, so they began to despise you.

"She thinks she's all that because she smart." "Who does she think she is?" "What a freak." "Stupid nerd looking down on us." "She should just die." You heard these whispers everyday, but no one would say to your face. Not even the teachers would call on you to answer a question. You were an outcast. It wasn't like you didn't have any feelings, in fact at first you showed your feelings too much. But by the time you were 10 you learned how to push people away so you wouldn't have to show your emotions.

But, on that day, that boy transferred to your school, all the way from Japan, just to get a taste of America. "Hi my name is Karma Akabane, and I'll be going to school here." Said the boy with flaming, red hair and rich, gold eyes. Everyone looked in awe at the new boy with curiosity in their eyes and they soon started asking him questions. You paid them no mind though and simply went back to your math worksheet.

As soon as you finished the teacher announced that Karma would be sitting next to you, but again you thought nothing of it. "Sir, I'm done with my paper." You said, trying not to show any emotion. You were painfully aware of how hollow and monotone your voice sounded, but that was the point after all.

After the Karma kid settled into his seat, putting all his supplies in his desk the teacher gave him a worksheet to test his knowledge, which you found insignificant, so you decided to take a nap because you didn't get much sleep in the previous night.

Everyone audibly gasped, causing you to awaken. Turns out Karma had finished his worksheet in 5 minutes and gotten a 100%. You shocked for a second, but exchanged your expression for a small smile and drifted back to sleep.

A few weeks later Karma had become your only friend, making you both outcasts. You stopped paying attention to what others were saying and focused on having a friend. Smiling also became a usual for you once you started to hang out, you even started walking home together. Turns out he had moved into the house next to yours. Everything was good for the first time in a long time, until that day...

You and Karma were about to walk home together when you realized you'd forgotten your notebook in your desk. "Hey Karma I forgot my notebook in the classroom, I'm gonna go get it." You said slightly annoyed at yourself. "Okay y/n just be quick, you know that your mom is expecting us." Karma replied nonchalantly. You nodded with a smile and scurried off into the school, nearly tripping over your own feet several times.

When you finally reached the classroom 3 voices rang out from within the classroom. And you recognized them as the principals sons: Ethan, Gill, and Malik. All 3 were triplets, but had nothing in common. They all had the same brown hair with blue eyes, but their face shapes were different and each had a different mole in a different place. Ethan's was on his left cheekbone, Gill's was above his lip in the corner, and Malik's was on his right cheek. All you heard was mumbling until you, very distinctly, heard them say, " Karma..."

Your heart stopped, why were they talking about Karma. You quietly put your ear to the door and listened closely. " I can't wait to get him gone, he's been bothering me since day one." Malik laughed. "So Ethan what pie are we gonna tell dad this time." Gill asked. "I dunno I'll just make some crap up, you know he believes anything I say." Ethan said cockily

You gritted your teeth. 'I have to do something, they're gonna get him kicked out. I can't lose my only friend.' You thought to yourself. Slamming the door open, you yelled, " Hey idiots if you wanna talk about someone don't do it in an open area!"

The boys were stunned for a few seconds, but it soon wore off. "Grab her." Ethan ordered calmly. The two boys linked their arms in yours tightly, careful to not let you slip away. " You're the one I've always hated most. But no matter what I said about you my father just pushed it aside since your mom and him are old friends." He spoke through gritted teeth. You turned your head, so you wouldn't have to face him.

When he saw this, he reached out his hand and gripped your face, yanking it to face his. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." He said lowering his voice in a malicious way. "Go die." You said bluntly, then spit in his face. He was taken a back for a second, then wiped the spit off of his face angrily. "You little-" Ethan raised his hand to slap you and you braced for impact. But when it didn't come, you opened your eyes just in time to see Karma land a solid hit on Ethan sending him flying.

"That's no way to treat a girl." Karma said cooly with a smirk. "Maybe I should teach you some manners." Gill and Malik let go of your arms, lunging after Karma, but he sidestepped making them fall on their face. You fell to your knees watching the scene play out before you. Gill was already knocked out, so Karma got on top of Malik pounding his face in.

You were so busy watching Karma that you didn't realize Ethan was walking over to you until he was already in front of you. He brought his hand up again, this time in a fist and you instinctively kicked as hard as you could... in his crotch.

Ethan fell back in pain, hitting his head on the way down. You were panting heavily and began to sob. Upon hearing this, Karma stopped what he was doing and rushed over to you and began to cradle you in his arms while patting your head. "It's okay y/n I'm here now." He whispered to you.

That was how they found you both, clinging to each other with the principals sons all sprawled across the ground. When they asked you to explain what had happened you told them everything, but no one believed you. Not even your own mother and you and Karma were soon kicked out.

Time skip...

You ended up moving to japan shortly after and it was there that your mother found herself a new boyfriend and where your violence increased. Your mental health decreased severely, but you rarely ever showed it. You went through several schools, but were kicked out of all of them because of violence even though your grades were perfect.

Soon you decided on a more challenging school, Kunugigaoka Junior High School. As you stood in front of the gates you internally smirked. 'This should be fun.' You thought as you strode into the gates of a new adventure.

~ Backstory end...

Sorry this took so long but as I have repeatedly said, I'm currently redoing this story. It's proving to be quite difficult because of the fact I'm also writing another fanfic. Anyways I hope you enjoyed it and I'll be back soon 😘.
