Assassin on Assignment

Sonya walked up to her shoe box and found a paper. It read for her to go to the vacant classroom after school.

It said to bring Yasuna.

"Why does this always happen at the end of my good days.." Sonya sat down in her seat as Yasuna walked up. "Hey," she started. "What did that note say?" Sonya hesitated. "Ah... Well, it was a... a... It wasn't a note, you see, it..." Sonya looked away. "Oh really," Yasuna said, walking away. "It's none of your business," she added. Sonya realized,

Yasuna was the one the other assassin was after.

"I... Have to go." Sonya said, heading for the door. "Wait!" Sonya started running, to get to the room faster. "Sonya, wait!" Yasuna ran after Sonya. "Go back to class!" Sonya yelled back. "Class already ended, just tell me where you're going first!" Yasuna said, slowing Sonya down. "Well, um... I... I have am important meeting at my organization building."

"No killing?" Yasuna asked.

"No killing." Yasuna had a sigh of relief. "Good, now youー" Yasuna was cut off by a knife going through her hair. "Whoa, that's a little overboard, don't you think? You could've at least just told me to shut up or something.." Yasuna took out the knife from the wall. "N-no... I... Didn't do that.." Sonya said, another knife shot in from somewhere and hit the wall. Then, they looked at each other, and ran.

"SONYAAA YOU'RE TOO FAAAAST!!!!" Yasuna Yelled at the top of her lungs. Sonya stopped and turned around. She looked around quickly. "You idiot, shut up! We're gonna die because of you if you don't shut up!"Yasuna tensed up and immediately covered her mouth. They started running again until they saw a flight of stairs. "Go down these as fast as you can," Sonya said as she ran down the stairs, with Yasuna slowly walking down them. "Hurry up!" Sonya grabbed Yasuna's hand and dragged her down the stairs. They saw the vacant classroom. "Did we lose him?" Yasuna asked. "Yeah, I guess so." Sonya walked to the middle of the room. Yasuna looked around. "What do we do now?"

"We hope he doesn't know we're here."

"Ah... I see..." Yasuna drew on the chalkboard. Then she heard a loud bang. "Oh! God, that scared me.. Wait! What was that? Holy whoa, I thought youー" Yasuna stopped at the sight of Sonya bending over. Sonya put her hands over her mouth before blood started dripping from her hands. Yasuna, with her mouth wide open, actually managed to say something. "Sonya?! Wh" Yasuna ran over to Sonya and saw blood on the floor. "I.. Th-this... " Yasuna couldn't cry, she was too shocked. "Eh..?! Why do I feel that this is..."

"My fault?"

Sonya fell to her knees and kept her hands over her mouth after she started to cough up more blood. Yasuna sat in front of Sonya. "Don't tell me this is real.. I.. I'm dreaming, aren't I?"

"One of those silly dreams where I think you're gonna l-leave me and n-never come back t-to me?!"

Yasuna's face had turned red after she yelled to Sonya. Tears had ran down both of their faces. Sonya tried to say something, but she just coughed up more blood. Sonya didn't bother to wipe the blood off of either of her hands and hugged Yasuna with all the strength she had, which Yasuna put her head in her chest. Sonya's grip loosened slowly. "Y-you'll wake up one.. One d-day, Y-Yasuna..." Yasuna looked at Sonya with blood dripping from one side of her mouth, down to her neck

"S-Sonya-chan?"

Once Sonya stopped responding, and making eye contact, Yasuna quietly sat there for a bit. "It's.. It's not fun being alone, you know?!" Yasuna yelled into Sonya's chest. "I know you were probably wondering..... I must've been... R-really lonely... To be coming back to someone like you! Yasuna immediately screamed at the top of her lungs and hugged Sonya. She curled up next to her friend. "It was only last period.." Yasuna sighed. School that day had already ended. "I never told you how I felt about about you, have I?" She curled up next to Sonya. "You were all I thought about."

"I loved you."
