After her preparations, the Queen Mouse again went to the cottage. Today, Thea, Trap and Benjamin were working at the cheese mill, making milk into cheese.

Geronimo was at home, hoping for better luck with cheese casseroles. With Thea, Trap and Benjamin all out Geronimo was under strict orders, not to open the door.

Knock, knock. Geronimo heard someone at the door.

"Excuse me, would you please tell me which was is the castle?" A gentle voice asked.

Geronimo said to himself, "It's not a merchant, it's someone who needs help! Of course I will help someone who is lost!"

Geronimo opened the door and pointed, "The castle is that way,"

The lady said, "Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I have a nice, chocolate cheesecake. Let me give this to you to say thank you."

Geronimo refused at first, "No, no I can't take that! I only pointed the castle out to you."

But the woman insisted, and the chocolate looked so thick and the cheese so creamy. How could Geronimo say no?

Geronimo accepted the chocolate cheesecake and the woman went on her way. She was of course, the Queen Mouse in disguise. She chuckled to herself, "Finally, that Geronimo Snow White will be gone forever! I shall be the furriest mouse of us all!"

She was so excited, she almost ran the whole way back to the castle.

The chocolate cheesecake was made by the best patisserie chef in the castle. It looked so delicious.

Geronimo Snow White stared at it. "I think I should wait until Thea, Trap and Benjamin are back, and share it with them."

Little did Geronimo know that the Queen Mouse had put rat poison in this chocolate cheesecake. It looked so yummy, Geronimo couldn't help himself.

He ate the whole cake! Within minutes, he fell down, unconscious.

By then, Thea, Trap and Benjamin had come back home, carrying lots of cheese. They came home early because Trap had said to Thea, "I will not let Geronimo burn out cheese casserole again!"

Good thing they came back early, because they again found Geronimo unconscious.

Benjamin shouted, "Oh, not again! Uncle Geronimo!"

Trap knew what must be done. Leaving Geronimo to Thea and Benjamin, he immediately rushed to the kitchen, turned off the oven, and to his relief, the cheese casserole was not burned.

"Phew!" Trap said visibly relieved, "The cheese casserole is saved!" He gave a thumbs up to Thea and Benjamin.

Thea looked at Trap coldly. "Trap, how can you be saying this? Look at Geronimo!"

Trap wasn't worried at all. "Come on," he said, "It happens to him all the time, it's Geronimo! Let's just save him again."

There was no necktie around Geronimo's neck.

Thea and Trap looked at each other. "What should we do?" They asked themselves.

It was Benjamin, the smart nephew, who came to Geronimo's rescue. "Aunt Thea, Uncle Trap, I see a plate with crumbs!"

Thea exclaimed, "It must be a poisoned cake! We told Geronimo not to open the door to strangers, and not to buy anything!"

Trap said, "He must have been tempted, bought some cake... and ate it all by himself!"

"I know what to do!" Thea said, "Trap, grab Geronimo by the ankles. Flip him over!"

"What?" Trap was confused.

"Hurry, Geronimo's life is at stake!" Thea urged.

So Trap grabbed Geronimo's limp body by the ankles and lifted him up, as he was told. Geronimo's head dangled down and his hair was nearly mopping the floor.

"I can't hold him up much longer!" Trap shouted. But Geronimo's body remained limp.

"This is the last resort," Thea mumbled to herself and she punched Geronimo's tummy hard!

"Urgh!" Geronimo grunted, and the poisonous cake came gushing out of Geronimo's mouth.

Trap said, "We'll have to mop that up clean..."

Thea and Benjamin were worried but relieved to see Geronimo breathing. "Geronimo are you ok?"

"Yeah... I think so..." Geronimo replied weakly, "What happened...?"

"It looks like you ate poisonous cake," Thea explained.

"Oh why, oh why does this keep happening to me?" Geronimo moaned.

Meanwhile, the Queen Mouse got back to her room. She asked the mirror, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the furriest of us all?"

"It is Geronimo Snow White!"

"No! I hate being second best!" The Queen Mouse moaned.

But soon, winter ended and the last snow of the season fell. Spring came with trees blooming small baby leaves, and green shoots emerging.

Geronimo's white winter fur started to shed as the seasons changed. Soon he was no longer the furry fall ball for Trap to make fun of.

Trap said to Geronimo, "I can see your face again, cousinkins! You are no longer a fur ball!"

The very next day, the Queen Mouse asked the mirror, "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the furriest of us all?"

She was so happy to hear the mirror tell her, "It is you, your Majesty."

That is how Geronimo's life was saved.
